The Opportunity

SuperOrdinary is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant, US Revenue & Operations Accounting to join our U.S. Accounting & Finance team on an initial six-month contract-to-hire basis.

This role is designed for someone who can quickly integrate into the team, take ownership of key revenue and operational accounting responsibilities, and make an immediate impact in a fast-moving environment.

The initial commitment will be six months, with the potential to convert to a regular full-time position based on business needs, performance, and mutual fit. While conversion is not guaranteed, we are approaching this opportunity with the intention of identifying someone who can become a long-term contributor to the team.

This position will work closely with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and other cross-functional partners and will report to the Director, Revenue & Operations Accounting.

This role is 100% remote and open to candidates based in the United States.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of the U.S. Revenue and Inventory Accounting team, you will:

  • Play an integral role in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring transactional data is captured completely, accurately, on time, and in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

  • Manage, record, and reconcile monthly revenue transactions in NetSuite for multiple entities utilizing journal entries and invoices.

  • Apply knowledge of ASC 606 and SOX 404 to revenue recognition processes and invoicing documentation requirements.

  • Ensure cost of goods sold and capitalized inbound freight are accurately recorded in NetSuite.

  • Partner with operational teams to maintain, analyze, and reconcile inventory held at company warehouses and third-party logistics providers.

  • Record and reconcile Accounts Receivable and inventory-related Accounts Payable transactions, including invoicing, payments, and assigned balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Record, expense, reconcile, and maintain monthly and quarterly accruals.

  • Assist with the management and reconciliation of AR and inventory sub-ledgers within NetSuite.

  • Manage AR aging and related follow-up processes.

  • Support the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for the global Finance team.

  • Assist with the ongoing development, optimization, and maintenance of the NetSuite ERP environment.

  • Support year-end audit requests and documentation for assigned areas.

  • Support process improvements related to expense reimbursements and corporate credit card activity across multiple entities utilizing Expensify and in accordance with company T&E policies.

  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, reporting, and operational efficiency.

  • Serve as a positive, resourceful, and collaborative partner across the organization.

  • Support additional accounting, finance, and operational projects as business needs evolve.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting required.

  • 3+ years of professional accounting experience.

  • 1+ years of Revenue Accounting experience required.

  • Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition.

  • Cost Accounting experience strongly preferred.

  • CPA or CMA preferred.

  • Previous Oracle/NetSuite ERP experience preferred.

  • Previous Expensify experience is a plus.

  • Experience within retail, e-commerce, consumer products, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable.

  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and related functions.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

  • Resourceful, analytical, and comfortable working through ambiguity.

  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities as business needs evolve.

  • Collaborative mindset and a desire to be a trusted business partner across departments.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Initial Commitment: 6 Months
Location: 100% Remote, U.S. Based
Schedule: Full-Time Hours

This position will begin as a six-month contract engagement. During the contract period, the Senior Accountant will operate as an embedded member of the U.S. Accounting & Finance team with meaningful ownership of core accounting responsibilities.

At or near the conclusion of the initial contract period, SuperOrdinary may evaluate the opportunity for conversion to a regular full-time position based on individual performance, organizational needs, available headcount, and mutual interes
