Apply Description About All In One Accounting All In One Accounting is a 7-time winner of the 50 Fastest Growing Companies in the Twin Cities and one of the Best Places to Work in the Minneapolis area. Our purpose is simple: to make the lives of entrepreneurial and nonprofit leaders better. We do that by supporting profitable growth, protecting assets, and amplifying impact — bringing financial clarity and strategic leadership to the clients who need it most. We run on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), which means clear goals, strong accountability, and a team that executes with intention. About the Role We're seeking a Senior Accountant for our Professional Services practice who can independently manage complex client work, bring strategic financial perspective to service-based business owners, and informally mentor other team members. You've worked in — or deeply served — consulting, legal, staffing, or agency environments, and you understand how to connect financial data to the decisions that drive professional service businesses forward — utilization, realization, billing efficiency, and cash flow. You operate with a high degree of independence as part of AIOA's delivery team model, often serving as the primary day-to-day resource your clients rely on. Now About You We hire for hungry, humble, and smart — and at the Senior Accountant level, those qualities show up with more depth and independence. Hungry means you're proactively improving your clients' financial operations and sharing what you know with the people around you. Humble means you've earned your expertise but you're still the first to ask a question or admit uncertainty when it matters. Smart means you operate with strong judgment, catch issues before they surface, and communicate with the kind of clarity that makes Controllers and clients alike trust your work without needing to check behind you. Responsibilities & Expectations Client Responsibilities • Own day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of complex professional service clients with minimal Controller or CFO oversight • Lead revenue recognition processes for multi-service-line billing models including retainer, hourly, and subscription structures • Manage billing reconciliations and invoicing accuracy across multiple client engagements • Assist in preparation and review of monthly financial statements with insightful variance analysis • Drive accounts receivable management including aging analysis and collections strategy • Identify and resolve complex reconciling items and technical accounting issues independently • Informally mentor Accountants and provide guidance on client-specific challenges • Develop and document process improvements to drive efficiency in client accounting cycles • Support cash flow analysis and operational forecasting in collaboration with your CFO • Utilize current processes and tools, including code red alerts, to proactively identify and prevent fraud throughout all client accounting processes • Implement and maintain robust internal controls across client accounts • Meet or exceed billable hours goals while maintaining service excellence Internal Responsibilities • Complete all internal responsibilities including time tracking, capacity planning, and quarterly initiatives • Actively participate in All In One Accounting's Brand Ambassador program, representing our mission and values • Uphold security practices to protect client assets effectively The Successful Candidate Will Have • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or equivalent experience • Experience in a multi-client or Client Accounting Services (CAS) environment strongly preferred • 6+ years of accounting experience with meaningful professional services exposure • Deep understanding of service-based billing structures, utilization metrics, realization rates, and revenue recognition • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client work independently • Strong technical aptitude across multiple accounting platforms • Proven informal mentorship or knowledge-sharing with junior team members • Excellence in written and verbal communication with business owner clients Why All In One Accounting All In One Accounting offers a work environment built on flexibility, trust, and genuine investment in our people. With team members across the country, we've built a culture that works regardless of geography — grounded in our five core values of Commitment, Foresight, Relationships, Tenacity, and Teamwork. This is a rare opportunity to step into true business ownership without equity risk — running your own practice, leading your own team, and sharing in the results you create. If you're ready to operate like a partner, we're ready to treat you like one. Compensation & Benefits Salary/Rate: $75,000 – $90,000 • Medical, dental, and vision insurance • 401K • Life insurance • Long and short-term disability • HSA, FSA, and dependent care options • Professional development opportunities • Annual Bonus: Up to 10% of salary All In One Accounting provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
