Apply Now About the Role: Kansas City Clinic Advisors (KCCA) is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to remotely support the Finance team at a Healthcare facility in Kansas City, US. This professional will be taking ownership of key accounting activities and supporting financial operations within a complex U.S. healthcare environment. We are seeking a senior-level accounting professional with 10+ years of experience, strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, and extensive hands-on experience with ERP systems. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with U.S.-based leadership and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Perform and oversee general ledger accounting activities in compliance with U.S. GAAP. Take ownership of key components of the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion. Prepare, review, and post complex journal entries and supporting documentation. Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items. Prepare and analyze financial reports, account activity, and significant variances. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records within the ERP system (Infor Lawson). Research and resolve complex accounting issues, applying appropriate accounting principles and judgment. Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Provide support for internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and supporting documentation. Partner closely with U.S.-based finance leadership and other departments to address accounting and financial reporting matters. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen controls, and increase operational efficiency. Serve as a senior accounting resource to the broader Finance team, providing guidance and support on complex accounting matters. Support special projects, financial analyses, and other accounting initiatives as needed. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional English proficiency, both written and verbal. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant experience in senior-level accounting responsibilities. Strong knowledge and practical application of U.S. GAAP. Extensive experience with general ledger accounting, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Strong experience taking ownership of month-end and year-end close activities. Hands-on experience with ERP systems; Infor Lawson experience is strongly preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with large and complex financial datasets. Ability to independently manage priorities, deadlines, and complex accounting assignments.
