Are you skilled in providing industrial relations advice, workforce costing and strategic financial analysis? Do you enjoy using financial modelling and evidence-based insights to support industrial relations strategy and executive decision-making? If so, DEECA is looking for someone like you to join our small team of industrial relations professionals.

The Senior Advisor, Industrial Relations provides expert advice to managers and employees on industrial relations matters, including public sector enterprise agreement bargaining under the Victorian Government’s Wages Policy and Enterprise Bargaining Framework.

Working closely with the DEECA Finance team, Industrial Relations Victoria and the Budget and Finance Division within the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF) and portfolio entity stakeholders, the role ensures bargaining positions, workforce initiatives and industrial relations strategies are informed by robust financial evidence, scenario modelling and affordability assessments.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of industrial relations advice, workforce costing or strategic financial analysis, is desirable
  • Experience working with public sector industrial relations frameworks, enterprise agreements and employment legislation, including the Victorian Government’s Wages Policy and Enterprise Bargaining Framework, is desirable
  • Experience in financial modelling capability (such as Microsoft Excel) including scenario and sensitivity analysis. Experience preparing executive-level reports, briefings and financial advice.
  • Experience supporting enterprise bargaining, workforce planning, remuneration analysis or industrial relations initiatives.

This is a fixed term position available for a period of 3 Years. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
