Are you our newest team member as a Senior Aftersales Manager ready to specialize, deepen your expertise, and make an impact within a dynamic and supportive team?

DESMI is a dynamic and innovative company where your ideas matter. We're building a culture that values collaboration, continuous learning, and making a difference. As an employee at DESMI, you'll have the opportunity to work on challenging projects, develop cutting-edge skills, and connect with a diverse team of talented individuals. If you're looking for a workplace where you can grow, contribute, and be inspired, DESMI is the place for you.

Ideally, We Are Looking For Someone Who Is

  • Commercially driven and motivated by growing aftersales across Marine, Industry and Aquaculture in Northwest Europe
  • Credible in front of customers and comfortable joining Account Managers on visits where aftersales belongs on the agenda
  • Able to create focus and alignment across sales and aftersales coordination without formal authority

A glimpse into the role

Role

As Senior Aftersales Manager, you will make DESMI’s aftersales business proactively sold and smoothly delivered across Northwest Europe, with a natural weighting toward Marine. You report to the Regional Sales Director NWE and travel 60–80 days a year. Your role mainly revolves around:

  • Joining Account Managers on selected customer visits and coaching them to identify, qualify and pitch aftersales opportunities themselves
  • Visiting customers to understand pain points and finding solutions that support the customer and increase DESMI’s aftersales
  • Ensuring alignment with the aftersales coordinators to focus on the accounts and customers the sales organisation is actively working with
  • Providing a simple, regular view of co-visit coverage, pipeline movement and coordination issues
  • Ensuring that the region delivers on its total aftersales budget, by working with account managers and customers on putting aftersales on the agenda on accounts with a large install base

You will not own any customer directly, but you will be responsible for the aftersales budget and ensuring that DESMI is proactively pushing after-sales to relevant customers. You will do this through influencing your colleagues and talking directly to the customers

Your next opportunity starts here

We are looking for a self-driven person with a solid understanding of aftersales and commercial growth. You don’t own customer accounts or lead the coordination team. Your impact comes from being present where it matters, building skills in others and keeping everyone pointed at the same priorities. You are structured, committed and lead by example through your own active participation.

We Also Imagine That You

  • Have a commercial background in aftersales, service sales or aftermarket within industrial equipment, ideally pumps, marine or process industry
  • Have a technical foundation, e.g. an engineering degree, that lets you discuss equipment, service needs and solutions credibly with customers
  • Are a natural coach who builds capability in others rather than dependency on yourself
  • Communicate and negotiate well, and build strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues
  • Work fluently in English in an international, cross-functional setting and are comfortable with frequent travel
