Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Agentic AI Governance & Delivery Consultant to define and implement an AI-enabled approach to IT project management and software application delivery.

The consultant will integrate Agentic AI into existing PRINCE2 Agile governance and the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The role involves defining how AI agents can support project delivery while ensuring appropriate human oversight, accountability, security, governance and control.

The successful candidate will work closely with business, project management, architecture, development, testing, security and operations teams to translate the target approach into practical processes, governance frameworks, templates, tooling requirements and pilot use cases.

Key Responsibilities

• Define the target operating model for Agentic AI within IT project management and application delivery.
• Identify activities suitable for AI agent support and establish clear boundaries for human decision-making and accountability.
• Define human-in-the-loop controls, agent ownership, access rights, segregation of duties, auditability and escalation procedures.
• Integrate Agentic AI governance into PRINCE2 Agile, covering Project Board governance, roles, tolerances, stage planning, risk, quality and change management.
• Define how AI agents can support requirements gathering, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, planning, dependencies, risk management, reporting and release preparation.
• Design controlled AI-enabled delivery processes covering architecture, software development, code reviews, security reviews, testing, documentation and release management.
• Define integration requirements for Azure DevOps and ServiceNow, ensuring end-to-end traceability from demand through change and release.
• Support pilot projects and proofs of concept, and provide recommendations for further implementation and scaling.

Required Skills & Experience

• Senior-level experience in IT governance, project delivery and Agile software development.
• Strong practical knowledge of PRINCE2 and/or PRINCE2 Agile.
• Good understanding of Generative AI, AI agents, agentic workflows and human-in-the-loop governance.
• Experience designing operating models, governance frameworks, roles, responsibilities, controls and decision gates.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD, DevOps and release management.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, including Azure Repos, Pipelines and Test Plans.
• Understanding of Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), APIs and integration architecture.
• Experience with AI-assisted software engineering, multi-agent orchestration, LLM governance or AI observability.
• Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with both management and technical teams.

Expected Deliverables

• Agentic AI target operating model and governance principles.
• Roles and responsibilities, RACI matrix, agent catalogue and human-in-the-loop control model.
• Mapping of Agentic AI processes to PRINCE2 Agile, including decision gates, tolerances and escalation procedures.
• End-to-end AI-enabled project and software delivery process.
• Definition of Ready (DoR), Definition of Done (DoD), quality and security control framework.
• Traceability model and integration requirements for Azure DevOps and ServiceNow.
• Pilot / Proof of Concept (PoC) approach and recommendations for scaling.
