About the Company
Westbridge Capital is a private equity firm that specializes in acquiring and growing mature operating businesses across industries such as manufacturing, distribution, services, and technology. We partner with founders and management teams to build stronger businesses through operational improvement, add-on acquisitions, and disciplined capital allocation. Our philosophy allows us to provide liquidity to an underserved market and structure deals with management as our partners, which ensures long-term alignment of interests.
Westbridge Capital promotes a collaborative work environment with a team of experienced professionals across finance, M&A, legal, securities, HR, and IT. We are a lean, hands-on team. Our people work directly on deals, sit close to our portfolio companies, and see the impact of their work.
Overview of Role
We’re looking for someone to lead digital transformation across Westbridge and our portfolio companies, using AI and automation to deliver measurable results. You will work directly with our deal team, our Professional Services Group (PSG), and portfolio leadership teams to find where AI can save time, cut costs, or sharpen decisions, then drive the work to put it in place and get people using it.
This is a hands-on, business-facing individual contributor role. You will help evaluate AI risk and opportunity in acquisitions, raise AI fluency across the firm, set the guardrails for AI adoption, and implement AI solutions across Westbridge and portfolios that advance our competitive edge and business performance. The successful candidate has an innate curiosity and a natural drive to explore innovative ideas using AI.
The position may be based in our Saskatoon office or performed remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Discover, build, and deliver AI & automation solutions
- Meet with employees and leadership teams, listen to their challenges, and identify opportunities to save time, reduce costs, and improve quality.
- Own the full solution lifecycle: design the approach, prototype with users, deploy to production, troubleshoot, support, document, and improve solutions over time.
- Independently build AI assistants, agents, skills, workflows, and automations using AI platforms, APIs, scripts, and integration tools.
- Connect to business systems and data sources, including CRM, ERP, Microsoft 365, business applications, databases, and internal document repositories.
- Lead the change management needed for adoption to stick: communication, stakeholder engagement, and reinforcement.
Firm-level AI adoption
- Identify and deliver AI use cases across investment, finance, HR, legal, and operations teams.
- Create reusable workflows, assistants, templates, and practical guidance that make AI part of everyday work.
- Train and coach employees at various technical levels, incorporate their feedback, and ensure solutions are actually used.
Portfolio value creation
- Develop an understanding of portfolio business processes that will guide automation activities
- Run AI readiness assessments at portfolio companies and build practical roadmaps with their leadership teams.
- Lead hands-on initiatives in areas such as sales, customer service, procurement, forecasting, and administration.
- Track outcomes against clear metrics such as hours saved, cost reduced, accuracy, adoption, and revenue impact. Share proven solutions and playbooks across the portfolio.
M&A and diligence
- Support the deal team and PSG to assess AI-related risks and opportunities as well as technology and data readiness in potential acquisitions.
- Contribute actionable findings to investment materials and help identify AI and automation solutions for post-acquisition plans.
Governance, security, and responsible use
- Draft and maintain AI use policies, approval processes, and guardrails.
- Work with Legal and IT on data privacy, confidentiality, vendor risk, and evolving AI regulation.
- Stay current on AI developments and evaluate new tools based on business impact, technical fit, cost, and risk.
Requirements:
Required
- 5+ years of experience in digital transformation, systems integration, business analysis and automation, operations improvement, software development, or leading a similar hands-on technology role.
- A track record of taking AI use cases from idea to adoption, with results you can quantify.
- Hands-on experience with generative AI tools and concepts like tool calling, skills, agents, retrieval of business knowledge, and structured outputs.
- Experience with workflow platforms like n8n, Make, Power Automate, or Zapier.
- Strong business and financial acumen: you can build a business case and speak the language of operators and investors.
- Excellent listening, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts plainly to executives and front-line staff alike.
- Sound judgment on security, privacy, confidentiality, access permissions, and when human oversight is needed.
- Diploma or Degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred
- Experience integrating Microsoft 365, SharePoint, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Salesforce, or other enterprise applications.
- Experience with cloud services, deployment, source control, logging, and monitoring for production solutions.
- Familiarity with SQL, data pipelines, document extraction, MCP, and RAG.
- Experience in private equity, consulting, or a multi-entity corporate environment.
- Exposure across a variety of industries.
- Experience supporting M&A diligence or post-acquisition integration.
