Senior AI Engineer

We are hiring a Senior AI Engineer to drive the hands-on engineering, orchestration, and execution of production RAG pipelines and Agentic workflows on a 12-month hybrid/remote contract (with option to renew).

As a Senior AI Engineer, you will translate advanced Generative AI concepts into high-performing, secure enterprise applications. You will spend your day building Copilots, engineering orchestration layers, integrating vector databases, and automating CI/CD pipelines to ensure optimal latency and performance.

The Tech Stack Deep-Dive

Must-Haves:

• GenAI & Orchestration: Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture, Copilot/chatbot development, Prompt Engineering tactics, and LLM API integrations.
• Agentic Frameworks: Building and deploying automated Agentic AI workflows.
• Vector Databases & Data: Vector database implementations, vector store integrations, and data retrieval optimization.
• DevOps & Cloud Automation: Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) scripting and CI/CD pipeline development for AI workloads.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Security & Performance: Latency optimization, model security controls, and model risk frameworks.
• MLOps & Governance: Telemetry, model drift monitoring, and POPIA/regulatory compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy Enterprise GenAI: Build and operationalize enterprise Copilot assistants, custom chatbots, and Agentic workflows.
• Engineer RAG Architectures: Design robust Retrieval-Augmented Generation systems backed by high-throughput vector database integrations.
• Build Orchestration Layers: Develop prompt engineering strategies, custom API integrations, and middleware orchestration.
• Automate AI Delivery: Write Infrastructure-as-Code scripts and construct seamless CI/CD pipelines for continuous AI deployment.
