THE ROLE

Join Aura as our Senior AI Engineer and help shape the future of AI across our technology portfolio. This is a unique opportunity to become a key AI expert within the business, combining hands-on software engineering within the .NET ecosystem with strategic leadership to drive the adoption of AI across products, teams, and client solutions.

You will develop and deliver AI-powered products and services that solve complex business challenges, improve decision-making, and create measurable value for global customers. Rather than focusing on pure research or data science, this role is centered on understanding business requirements, identifying opportunities for AI-driven automation and intelligence, and building production-ready solutions that leverage technologies such as large language models, machine learning, and intelligent workflows to drive innovation and business impact.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

• Design, develop, and deliver AI-powered solutions and services using .NET, LLMs, agentic AI, machine learning, and workflow automation.
• Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and production-ready applications that deliver measurable value.
• Act as the AI subject matter expert, advising on the most effective use of AI, machine learning, automation, or traditional solutions.
• Drive the adoption of LLMs, RAG, semantic search, prompt engineering, custom agents, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Define and promote reusable architectures, engineering standards, and best practices for AI development across Aura's products and shared platform.
• Evaluate, implement, and continuously improve AI solutions through feedback loops, model evaluation, and human-in-the-loop processes.
• Ensure solutions align with responsible AI principles, including security, privacy, transparency, reliability, and risk management.
• Collaborate with Product teams, engineers, SMEs, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities and shape AI-enabled product features.
• Review technical designs and guide implementations to maintain architectural quality and consistency.
• Share knowledge, mentor colleagues, and help establish a center of excellence for AI across the organization.
• Communicate complex AI concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support the growth and future evolution of Aura's AI capability and engineering team.

THE PROFILE

• Strong problem solver with the ability to translate business requirements into practical, AI-driven solutions.
• Hands-on, pragmatic Senior Engineer with a passion for applying AI to solve real-world business challenges.
• Proven experience designing, building, testing, and delivering production-grade software and AI solutions.
• Strong expertise in LLMs, applied AI, prompt engineering, RAG, semantic search, AI orchestration, and agent-based systems.
• Ability to evaluate and select the right approach, whether that involves AI, machine learning, automation, rules-based logic, or traditional software development.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of initiatives while working independently.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI principles, including privacy, security, transparency, bias, and human oversight.
• Experience working with business and domain data to improve AI accuracy, performance, and business value.
• Skilled at designing evaluation frameworks, feedback loops, and human-in-the-loop processes for continuous improvement.
• Collaborative team player who works effectively with Product teams, engineers, SMEs, and business stakeholders.
• Excellent communicator, able to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Passionate about sharing knowledge, mentoring others, and building AI capability across teams rather than working in isolation.
• Desirable experience with .NET, Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Machine Learning, SQL Server, cloud-native development, Semantic Kernel, and production AI/ML deployments.
• Experience contributing to shared platforms, reusable services, and architectural standards across multiple products is highly valued.
