Senior AI Engineer

We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help bring AI solutions from prototype into secure, scalable production environments. The role combines strong MLOps/AIOps engineering with technical leadership around GenAI and agentic AI solutions.

Location: Antwerp, hybrid (minimum 2 days/week onsite)

Duration: 1 year

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy AI/ML solutions into production, from business requirement to operational solution.
• Support data scientists with production deployment and ensure quality, security and governance standards.
• Design data and inference pipelines, CI/CD processes, monitoring, alerting and drift detection.
• Develop agentic AI solutions using APIs, RAG, tool/function calling and orchestration patterns.
• Establish testing and evaluation frameworks, including guardrails and red teaming.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to reusable AI components, standards and best practices.
• Advise stakeholders on architecture, technical feasibility, risks and implementation choices.

Required Experience

• 6+ years in software/data engineering, including 3+ years in AI/ML Engineering or MLOps, with hands-on production experience.
• Strong Python and software engineering skills.
• Strong knowledge of MLOps/AIOps, CI/CD, Git, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Experience with model registries, experiment tracking, monitoring and AI/ML pipelines.
• Strong Microsoft/Azure ecosystem experience: Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Fabric, AKS and ACR/JFrog.
• Experience with RAG, agentic frameworks, Copilot Studio, DSPy, function calling/tool use and semantic caching.
• Knowledge of databases/vector databases, security, RBAC, secrets management and data privacy.
• Previous technical leadership experience, including architecture discussions, code reviews and coaching.
