Cyber Instincts is a Gothenburg-based consultancy helping organizations build digital resilience across IT, OT, and automotive environments. Within Cyber Instincts, we’re expanding beyond cybersecurity into AI. We work with clients across automotive, manufacturing, banking and finance, retail, and healthcare, many of them now moving AI from experiments into production while dealing with new requirements under the EU AI Act. We’re building our senior bench of AI and machine learning engineers for client engagements where AI needs to be secure, reliable, and ready for real use. By applying, you join our consultant pool, and we contact you when an assignment matches your profile.
What the work may look like:
Designing, building, and deploying machine learning and LLM-based solutions that run in production, not just in a notebook
Building RAG pipelines, AI agents, and integrations between language models and clients’ existing systems and data
Owning the full model lifecycle: data preparation, training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring (MLOps)
Assessing AI use cases for feasibility, risk, and business value before anything gets built
Working with security and compliance teams to make AI solutions secure, traceable, and aligned with the EU AI Act and GDPR
Explaining technical choices and trade-offs to product owners, management, and non-technical stakeholders
What you’ll bring:
5+ years of professional experience in machine learning, AI engineering, or data science, with at least part of that in production environments
Strong Python and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn
Practical experience with LLMs and generative AI, such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Hugging Face, or LangChain
Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and its AI and data services
A track record of taking models from prototype to production.
Fluent English, spoken and written
A plus, not a requirement:
Swedish language skills
Knowledge of AI security risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, and model manipulation
Familiarity with the EU AI Act or AI governance frameworks (e.g. ISO/IEC 42001)
Experience from automotive, manufacturing, or other regulated industries
Previous consulting experience
This is a Sweden-based role with hybrid or on-site placements at client sites across the country. Applicants must currently reside in Sweden. You’ll be employed or engaged on a freelance basis and placed directly with our clients for the duration of each engagement.
