Senior AI Product Engineer: Insurance

Role Overview

Position available in either Johannesburg or Ballito.

Help us revolutionize insurance with AI by building intelligent conversational agents that handle complex customer interactions, from claims to policy changes, across multiple channels.

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years in software engineering, with 2+ years building production LLM/AI agents

- Hands-on experience with RAG, tool calling, and agent frameworks

- Strong Python or TypeScript, and API integration skills

- Experience in insurance (claims, policy servicing) or financial services

- Ability to explain AI behavior to non-technical stakeholders

- Product sense to measure success and client impact

What You'll Do

- Own the design, build, and roadmap of AI agents for insurance clients

- Map complex insurance journeys into agent workflows

- Integrate agents with core insurance systems via APIs

- Improve agent performance using data and customer feedback

- Ensure compliance and build secure, auditable systems
