Senior AI Product Manager

If you’ve been a Senior PM or Head of Product in a large company and want to finally own a product end to end, this is your chance. You’ll join a fast-growing UK AI startup serving tax and accounting professionals, report directly to the CEO, and build the product function your way, without layers of approval or ten meetings to change a button. The pace here is real: one customer insight turned into a product that drove 25% of all usage within two months. Remote, with one day a month in London.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Own the product end to end together with the CEO and CTO.
• Own the roadmap, deciding what to build and what not to build, with customer evidence behind every item.
• Stay close to customers by joining sales, onboarding, and renewal conversations, and open new channels for customer insight.
• Work daily with engineers from problem to release to feedback.
• Prototype ideas and ship small changes yourself.
• Own AI quality: evaluate whether AI output is good enough, find where it fails, and build pre-release checks the team relies on.
• Take accountability for key retention and revenue KPIs.
• Shape the product’s evolution as the company expands into new markets and geographies.
• Drive growth through a fast cycle of forming, testing, and validating hypotheses.
• Push for more frequent and deeper releases.

What we expect from you:

• Fluent English.
• Residence in the UK, within day-trip distance of London.
• Several years of experience as a Senior PM or Head of Product in B2B products with external customers.
• Long-term ownership of one product, not only launches or internal tools.
• A track record of taking a product from idea to successful launch, with a clear understanding of your own contribution.
• Strong AI skills beyond everyday ChatGPT use: building prototypes, analyzing data, shipping small features, and critically evaluating AI output.
• Technical depth to weigh different ways of building a feature, explain trade-offs, and earn engineers’ respect.
• Comfort with both customers and data: from running customer workshops to digging into datasets.
• Strong owner mindset and comfort with high autonomy, ambiguity, and little process.
• Ability to learn a complex regulated domain quickly.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in regulated industries (tax, accounting, finance, legal, or similar).
• Engineering background.
• Experience as the only product person in a small company.
