We are looking for an Airside design engineer, you will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of airside facilities for airports and aviation projects. In this role, you will be involved in developing engineering designs, preparing technical documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary global teams, and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality standards. On day to day basis, you will be involved in:

  • Planning, developing, and designing airside infrastructure components, including runways, taxiways, aprons, grading, pavement layouts, and airfield markings.
  • Developing, modelling, and preparing designs for Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) in accordance with applicable aviation standards and airport safeguarding requirements.
  • Preparing engineering design reports, technical calculations, specifications, and client presentations to support project development and decision-making.
  • Developing airside geometry, grading models, and construction documentation in accordance with applicable aviation regulations and industry standards.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across global offices to deliver innovative, efficient, and sustainable design solutions.
  • Ensuring all project deliverables meet company quality standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge sharing, and adoption of best practices within the aviation design team.
  • Leading and evaluating tasks related to pavement design layouts, cross-sections, typical details, and construction drawings in accordance with airport design standards and project requirements.
  • Coordinating pavement designs with airside geometry, drainage, utilities, earthworks, and other airport infrastructure disciplines.

On top of that, you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in civil engineering, airport engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, OpenRoads, MicroStation, FAARFIELD, and Aviplan would be and advantage.
  • Experience with international airport design standards and guidelines, including those from International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA)[JV3.1], and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
  • Experience in airport airside design engineering projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multicultural, and geographically distributed team environment.
  • Understanding of BIM, digital engineering, and 3D modelling workflows.
  • Experience working on large-scale greenfield airport projects or upgrading of existing airport infrastructure.
