Senior Analyst Category Remote - Remote, Remote, USA 11111 Apply Apply Description Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits seeks a Sr. Analyst, Category Development . The Sr. Analyst will play a pivotal role in shaping our company’s success by providing strategic insights and data-driven recommendations. Expertise in market analysis, consumer behavior, and category management will drive growth and optimize sales strategies within our strategic chain accounts. Location is flexible within the Western time zone with strong preference for candidates residing in AZ, NV, WA or OR. Responsibilities: Proactive Collaboration and Analysis Partner closely with Sales by participating in performance discussions and aligning priorities with a shared sense of urgency. Attend sales calls and market visits to identify opportunities from planning through execution. Analyze monthly performance to surface risks and opportunities early. Lead stakeholder conversations to provide proactive guidance, recommendations, and follow-through on identified opportunities. Data-Driven Decision-Making Optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies for Pacific Northwest and western US-based (excluding CA) retail chains. Integrate syndicated data, store-level data, panel, depletions, and primary/secondary research to build quantifiable selling stories. Deliver analyses on time and to a high-quality standard. Own business performance results by explaining drivers and providing clear, actionable recommendations. Reporting and Communication Maintain high standards across communications, reports, projects, and presentations while demonstrating a proactive, can-do approach. Prepare regular reports on category performance, market trends, and KPIs and distill insights, opportunities and risks to recommend and drive action. Present insights and recommendations to key stakeholders, including retailers and internal senior leadership. Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to align on selling stories and go-to-market strategies. Annual Planning Partner with Sales to develop a bottom-up annual business plan grounded in account-level opportunities and priorities. Leverage data resources and tools to optimize the plan against established company growth targets Developing forecasts rooted in business performance, category trends, pricing cycles and risks and opportunities Project Management Manage projects and priorities using a structured planning and execution process. Plan and run customer meeting workflows, including kickoff meetings, check-ins, and post-meeting debriefs. Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work by incorporating manager and stakeholder feedback. Conduct post-promotional reviews to identify root causes of success or failure. Translate learnings into actionable insights and share retailer-ready recaps to build rapport and influence future outcomes. Thought Leadership Provide thought leadership about the wine and spirits industry to internal stakeholders and chain customers by delivering insightful analyses and trends. Conduct deep, data-driven analytics and set high standards for business analysis across the DFWS portfolio. Share category and consumer insights broadly to build credibility, influence, and adoption of best practices. Identify and pilot innovative approaches to strengthen business analysis and decision-making. About Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits Initially called W.J.
