NBCU’s Telemundo Enterprises is seeking a Senior Analyst, Digital Analytics to join the Cross-Platform Analytics team and help drive data-informed decisions across Telemundo’s digital and streaming business. This role will focus on analyzing cross-platform content and audience performance and translating complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across Streaming, Programming, Marketing, Editorial, and Strategy & Insights. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to tell compelling stories with data and will play an important role in developing executive-ready reporting, supporting high-priority ad-hoc analyses, and mentoring junior analysts on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze cross-platform content performance across Telemundo’s digital and streaming ecosystem, including VOD, live, FAST, and other digitally distributed content.
  • Support data analysis and reporting requests by querying dashboards and reporting tools such as Tableau and Domo, and translating findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Conduct title-level and content-driven analyses to identify trends in audience engagement, consumption, and performance across platforms.
  • Build clean, executive-ready PowerPoint narratives explaining title-level and content-driven trends in Telemundo Streaming growth for recurring reporting, strategic initiatives, and high-visibility ad-hoc requests.
  • Develop and maintain recurring reports, analyses, and performance frameworks that help stakeholders understand what is driving changes in streaming and digital performance.
  • Partner with Streaming, Programming, Marketing, Editorial, and Strategy & Insights teams to answer complex business questions and support data-led decision making.
  • Lead ad-hoc analyses and deep dives to uncover audience and content insights, including audience segmentation, consumption and behavior analysis, and findings that inform content development, programming, and broader business strategy.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and anomalies in the data and clearly communicate the implications to both analytical and non-technical audiences.
  • Help ensure data quality and accuracy by identifying inconsistencies, validating results, and partnering with technical teams to resolve data and reporting issues.
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts by reviewing analyses, providing feedback, and helping raise the team’s overall analytical rigor and storytelling standards.
  • Contribute to improving analytical processes, reporting methodologies, and scalable approaches to cross-platform analytics.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant quantitative field such as Business Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in analytics, preferably within media, digital, streaming, television, or another consumer-facing business.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work quickly and accurately while producing high-quality, error-free results.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, lookups, modeling, and other analytical functionality.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets and/or cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Domo, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills with demonstrated experience building clear, concise, executive-ready presentations and data narratives.
  • Fluency in the language of digital media and online measurement, including impressions, CTR, CPM, eCPM, uniques, pageviews, visits, viewability, starts, minutes, completion, and other engagement metrics.
  • Strong understanding of streaming and digital content performance metrics and audience behavior.
  • Experience conducting audience segmentation and analyzing audience consumption and behavioral patterns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting analytical findings to senior stakeholders and executive audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and deliver high-quality analysis in a fast-paced environment.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience analyzing cross-platform content performance within a streaming, subscription, or digital media business.
  • Experience using audience and content analytics to inform content development, programming, or strategic decisions.
  • Familiarity with TV and streaming business models and performance metrics.
  • Experience evaluating the relationship between content, audience behavior, and streaming performance.
  • Experience using data to develop forecasts, benchmarks, projections, or performance estimates.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, modeling, experimentation, or other advanced analytical techniques.
  • Strong data storytelling skills and the ability to turn complex analysis into a simple, compelling narrative.
  • Experience mentoring junior analysts or contributing to the development of analytical best practices.
  • Strong curiosity and interest in understanding the 'why' behind audience and content performance.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Additional Requirements

  • This position currently has a hybrid schedule, which requires contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.
