About The Opportunity

The Senior Analyst, Enterprise & Operational Risk Management plays a key role in strengthening Canada Guaranty’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program by enhancing enterprise-wide risk visibility, reporting, and governance coordination. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Risk Management & Operational Risk and Resilience, this role is responsible for consolidating and analyzing risk information across multiple risk domains to support effective oversight and informed decision-making.

The position focuses on aggregating risk insights across operational, technology, and enterprise risk exposures, supporting senior leadership and governance committees with clear and actionable reporting. This includes monitoring and enhancing key risk indicators, maintaining enterprise risk inventories, identifying emerging risks and trends, and ensuring risk information is communicated consistently across the organization.

This role also acts as a central coordination point for key enterprise and operational risk management activities, including enterprise risk reporting, regulatory engagement support, and the execution of risk management initiatives that enhance maturity, efficiency, and scalability.

In this role, you will:

  • Consolidate and aggregate risk information from multiple risk management processes, including RCSAs, KRIs, risk events, and issue management activities.
  • Maintain enterprise risk inventories and risk profiles across key risk categories, ensuring alignment with the organization’s risk taxonomy.
  • Coordinate enterprise and operational risk management activities related to Internal Audit, regulatory reviews, and supervisory engagements (e.g., OSFI).
  • Prepare and present risk insights and reporting materials for governance committees and internal risk forums.
  • Support the implementation, enhancement, and governance of risk management tools and GRC platforms used to support risk management processes and reporting.
  • Contribute to the ongoing implementation and refinement of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF) and Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF).
  • Participate in risk identification and assessment activities, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), where required.
  • Partner with Compliance and other control functions to support alignment across the three lines of defense.
  • Contribute to strengthening enterprise risk governance practices and risk transparency across the organization.
  • Collaborate with business units and risk stakeholders to promote consistent application of risk management practices across the organization.
  • Support initiatives that enhance enterprise risk awareness and risk culture.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise risk management, operational risk, governance, compliance, internal audit, or risk analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret risk data and identify meaningful trends and insights.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing risk reports and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and drive process improvements.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across business units and risk functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience supporting enterprise risk reporting, KRIs, operational risk event tracking, and risk data aggregation.
  • Experience participating in risk assessment processes, such as RCSAs, within financial institutions.
  • Experience implementing or enhancing risk management tools or GRC platforms.
  • Experience supporting process improvement initiatives, reporting automation, or risk analytics.
