Job Description

• Oversee the day-to-day operation and maintenance of production systems supporting sales-related business applications, ensuring system reliability, availability, and performance.
• Monitor application performance, analyze system logs, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve production incidents.
• Support Java-based applications, including investigating application behaviour and resolving technical issues related to Java, Spring MVC, and Spring Boot.
• Perform database queries and troubleshooting using SQL and PL/SQL, working with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
• Manage application-related incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to minimize system disruptions.
• Work closely with business users and technical teams to maintain smooth system operations and ensure timely resolution of application issues.
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations, including occasional nighttime support when required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or an equivalent related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in Java development, application support or production operations.
• Good knowledge of Java programming, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, and object-oriented programming.
• Familiarity with Spring Data JPA, Hibernate, and relational databases.
• Proficiency in SQL, with knowledge of PL/SQL and databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with development and project management tools such as Git, Gradle, and Jira.
• Ability to analyze application logs, troubleshoot technical issues, and resolve production incidents.
• Good command of written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate effectively with international teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and task-prioritization skills.
• Willingness to participate in occasional nighttime on-call rotations when required.

Work Arrangements & Flexibility

• Position based in Bucharest, Romania.
• Remote and hybrid working arrangements available, subject to project requirements and mutual agreement.
• Working schedules and on-call arrangements will be agreed upon based on the selected contractual arrangement.
