At the core of the role
We are looking for a Senior AQA Engineer to join a long-term project for a leading regional bank in Argentina. The ideal candidate is an experienced QA professional with a strong automation background who is also comfortable contributing to manual testing activities when needed.
You will play a key role in ensuring software quality across banking platforms and services, driving the evolution of test automation practices, improving test coverage, and supporting the team with technical expertise and mentorship.
Our client is one of Argentina's most important financial institutions. The bank plays a vital role in supporting regional economic development and providing banking services across underserved communities
Core skills you’ll bring
5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a primary focus on test automation.
Strong hands-on experience with: Python, Pytest, Playwright, Git.
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and test suites.
Solid understanding of test planning, execution, and defect management.
Ability to analyze test scenarios, failures, root causes, and test coverage gaps.
Experience performing functional/manual testing when required.
Understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA best practices.
Knowledge of banking processes and financial systems.
Experience working with Bantotal or similar banking platforms.
Native-level Spanish and Intermediate English.
Nice-to-have
Experience improving and scaling automation frameworks.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Familiarity with API testing and test automation tools.
Experience mentoring QA team members and promoting quality best practices.
Exposure to performance or non-functional testing.
The impact you'll create
Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test cases and frameworks.
Perform functional and manual testing activities when required.
Analyze test results, investigate failures, and identify root causes.
Assess and improve test coverage to ensure comprehensive quality validation.
Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure product quality.
Contribute to the evolution of the automation strategy, frameworks, and testing standards.
Define and promote QA best practices across the team.
Support and guide team members through technical knowledge sharing and collaboration.
Participate in test planning, estimation, and quality-related discussions throughout the development lifecycle.
Ensure the delivery of reliable, high-quality solutions within the banking domain.
