Senior Associate Real Estate

Matheson’s Real Estate team is one of the leading commercial property law practices in Ireland, acting in the largest and most high profile real estate transactions occurring in the Irish market. We are hiring a Senior Associate to join our team to work directly with our international client base on complex and challenging commercial real estate transactions.

At Matheson we invest in our people, you will receive excellent mentoring from the Real Estate Partners and have the opportunity to develop and coach junior solicitors. You will have access to our suite of Learning and Development programmes, which include a senior associate development programme, run in conjunction with the Judge Business School in Cambridge, focused on building strong business and practice management skills.

In this role, you will be joining a busy and growing commercial real estate team in a responsible and time sensitive role where you will have the support to further deepen your expertise and develop your career.

About the role

• You will be involved in the acquisition, development, asset management structuring and onward sale and leasing of large scale developments for the leading and most innovative developers in the market place;
• You will be working directly with our international client base on some of the largest, complex and challenging commercial real estate transactions;
• You will be involved in the negotiation of commercial leases and agreement for leases for both landlords and tenants;
• You will be involved in the commercial real estate aspects of corporate transactions, including the sale and purchase of both private and public companies;
• You will be advising owner/occupiers on the acquisition of office, industrial and manufacturing premises; and
• You will be involved in the acquisition, disposal and financing of single assets, asset portfolios and loan portfolios.

The person

• You are an experienced Real Estate Lawyer (5+ PQE), have a high level of technical expertise, and are extremely client focused with a strong business development track record;
• You can manage a diverse workload, deliver quality, commercially-focused advice with minimal supervision, and lead and develop junior lawyers;
• You will enjoy establishing relationships with a diverse range of clients and colleagues and working collaboratively across the firm; and
• You will thrive in a diverse and inclusive environment where you will work in partnership with top legal talent in a market leading team that is continuing to grow.
