As the Senior Associate Relations Manager – Europe, you are both the strategic champion of our culture and a catalyst for operational excellence across the European region. This role combines data intelligence, modern governance, and proactive capability building to foster a high-trust, agile work environment. You will partner with local, regional and global AR and P&O teams to scale best practices, support consultations on regional transformations, and empower our P&O and AR teams with forward-looking insights. The role will report to the Associate Relations Director Europe.
What would be your key responsibilities?
Data, Insights & Cultural Pulse:
- AR Insights: Report biannually to the Regional EPOLT with segment-specific workforce trends.
- Proactive Root-Cause Analysis: Synthesize AR case metrics, culture pulses, and exit interviews to uncover systemic drivers, mitigating workforce risks before they escalate.
- ·Leading the Europe AR Community of Practice on data analytics to drive consistency, scale and CI, and be part of the global AR data & insights community representing Europe, driving global AR initiatives.
Regional Compliance & Governance:
- Policy & Compliance: Support design and simplification of AR policies, procedures across countries with local AR teams, and deployment of global policies and toolkits within Europe ensuring compliance with European labor laws and trade union/works council agreements.
- Co-ordination of WC consultations and questions across EU countries on policies, process improvements and technology.
- Main PoC for MGS and segment process improvements/co-operation with OPs, payroll, rewards and other stakeholders.
Project Management:
- Regional project management and deployment for global AR projects, regional initiatives and effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement & Operational Harmonization:
- Operational Alignment: Partner closely with the Global AR team and My P&O Operations to harmonize ways of working and scale operational efficiencies.
- Future-Focused Innovation: Monitor external regulatory shifts, HR technology advancements, and industry trends to identify innovation opportunities.
- Standardization & Simplification: Drive scalable, simplified, and standardized AR processes across all European markets.
AR team Capability Building & Team Enablement:
- Upskilling & Tools: Translate emerging workplace trends into practical learning programs, and capability frameworks for the European AR teams.
- Community Leadership: Mentor and elevate the AR community to proactively improve, onboard and build the AR team and capabilities.
What are we looking for?
- University degree (or equivalent experience) in HR, Labor Relations, or Law, supported by 10+ years of experience in multiple P&O functions including Associate Relations, Business Partnering, and regional policy/process management.
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills to connect the dots between associate sentiment, case metrics, and business priorities, translating these insights into clear presentations and practical, risk-mitigating solutions.
- A practical project management skillset focused on continuous improvement, simplifying workflows, and helping local P&O teams implement process changes with minimal friction.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to navigate complex networks and partner effectively with senior leaders, P&O peers, and legal teams.
- The ability to balance structured, long-term project work with urgent, day-to-day operational priorities while managing ambiguity with ease.
- A trusted partner who handles highly sensitive, confidential topics with deep personal integrity, discretion, and a commitment to psychological safety.
- The capacity to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, executing regional initiatives with minimal day-to-day supervision.
- Professional fluency in English is required; fluency in any other European language is a distinct advantage.
