For our Luxembourg office, we are seeking an ambitious and technically strong Senior Tax Associate Lawyer to join our growing Tax practice.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex domestic and international tax matters for a sophisticated client base, including multinational corporations, investment funds, financial institutions, private equity houses, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals.

As a Senior Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality legal and tax advice, managing client relationships, supervising junior team members, and contributing to the development of the practice.

Our ideal candidate has:

  • Qualified lawyer (Avocat) registered on List I or IV.

  • 7-8 years of relevant post-qualification experience gained within a leading law firm, international practice, or highly regarded tax advisory environment.

  • Strong technical knowledge of Luxembourg corporate taxation and international tax matters.

  • Proven experience advising on complex cross-border transactions and structures.

  • Ability to manage multiple matters and client relationships autonomously.

  • Excellent drafting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Commercially minded with a pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

  • Excellent command of English and French; Dutch, German or any additional language would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise domestic and international clients on Luxembourg and cross-border tax matters.

  • Structure and implement tax-efficient investment, financing, and acquisition structures.

  • Provide tax advice in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, private equity transactions, real estate investments and securitisation transactions.

  • Assist clients with fund structuring and tax aspects relating to regulated and unregulated investment vehicles.

  • Assist clients with the tax related reporting requirements (including FATCA/CRS).

  • Advise on international tax issues, including treaty application, withholding taxes, transfer pricing considerations, and global tax developments.

  • Support clients during tax audits, investigations, and discussions with the Luxembourg tax authorities.

  • Conduct legal and tax due diligence exercises in transactional contexts.

  • Draft and review tax opinions, memoranda, agreements, and client communications.

  • Manage matters independently while coordinating with Partners and other practice groups.

  • Mentor and supervise junior associates and trainees.

  • Participate actively in business development initiatives, networking events, and client seminars.
