About the Position
The Milken Institute is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Senior Associate, Web Content to join the Digital team within Marketing and Communications. This role supports the day-to-day production and upkeep of MilkenInstitute.org and affiliated microsites.
This is a hands-on role for someone with experience in digital content or web production who is ready to take their skills to the next level. In a supportive, collaborative environment, the Senior Associate will own recurring web production work, including building and updating pages, publishing and scheduling content, managing incoming requests, and conducting quality assurance, while having the opportunity to try new things and grow.
Working closely with the Director of Web Content and Strategy and, as needed, web development and technology partners, the Senior Associate will contribute to larger projects and build skills across web production, user experience, information architecture, accessibility, SEO/GEO, analytics, and digital strategy, taking on increasingly complex work over time.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, and attentive to detail, with strong follow-through and a sense of ownership. These qualities are essential to the role. They are also curious and proactive, communicate when questions or challenges arise, take initiative within the scope of their role, and are receptive to feedback and coaching.
The Senior Associate reports to the Director of Web Content and Strategy on the Digital team and works closely with colleagues across Publications, Social Media, Marketing, Media Relations, Design, Technology, Events, Business Development, and Pillars.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means that day-to-day web production moves reliably from request to completion; stakeholders receive timely and professional communication; published work is accurate, polished, and thoroughly QAed; and recurring responsibilities are handled consistently and with care.
Over time, the successful Senior Associate will develop a deeper understanding of the Institute’s website, audiences, standards, and workflows and build confidence across web production and digital best practices. As their skills grow, they will have opportunities to take on more complex page builds and projects, contribute ideas, and expand their knowledge of UX, accessibility, SEO/GEO, analytics, and web development.
