We are looking for a Senior Atlassian Engineer to join the team focusing on the development and maintenance of a large-scale Jira Service Management platform — building automations, extending the CMDB, and joining a significant build backlog.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain ScriptRunner (Groovy) scripts — custom workflows, post-functions, validators, and event listeners
- Develop and configure JMWE automation rules for cross-project workflows and SLA-linked transitions
- Maintain and extend MuleSoft integration layer connecting Jira/Confluence to downstream systems
- Build and enhance customer portal forms, request types, and service catalogue items
- Extend Jira-native automations for ticket routing, auto-assignment, and escalation
- Maintain and improve Jira Asset Management (CMDB), including data clean-ups
- Build automation rules to auto-update CMDB from cloud discovery feeds
- Administer the full Jira app ecosystem: ScriptRunner, JMWE, Time to SLA, Revyz Data Manager, Power BI Connector, GitLab for Jira, Xray, and 9 others
- Manage Confluence app stack: Draw.io, ADOIT, Comala Document Management, Asset Studio, and Content Formatting Macros
- Evaluate new app requests against Atlassian Enterprise license controls
- Support ITSM Leadership to build and maintain Jira dashboards, SLA/KPI reports, and Power BI connector pipelines for IT governance
- Support Atlassian Analytics reporting for cross-tower service delivery metrics
- Keep all custom-built ScriptRunner scripts, JMWE configs, and MuleSoft flows documented
- Maintain runbooks for all platform components
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Jira Service Management administration and development
- Experience with ScriptRunner for Jira (Groovy)
- Experience with JMWE (Jira Misc Workflow Extensions)
- Exposure to Jira Asset Management / CMDB administration
- Experience with MuleSoft - integration awareness; building capability would be considered a plus
- Confluence administration experience
- Experience with Atlassian REST API (Jira + Confluence)
- ITIL 4 Foundation or above
Nice to have
- Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP-JSM)
- Experience with plug-ins: Xray Test Management, Revyz Data Manager, Time to SLA configuration, Power BI Connector for Jira, GitLab CI/CD
- AWS basics (for CMDB reconciliation)
