We operate a cloud-native B2B wholesale marketplace connecting emerging consumer brands directly with retail grocery buyers. Our platform replaces legacy distribution networks with software-driven product discovery, automated ordering, and real-time logistics tracking.

Current Infrastructure State
Our ecosystem consists of a core API backend running on AWS, supporting multiple web portals, mobile apps for buyers and logistics partners, and data analytics pipelines. The infrastructure currently relies on single-instance server configurations, legacy deployment scripts executed manually, and unmonitored environment setups that need to be upgraded to support rapid business growth.
Modernization Scope

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Cloud Hardening: Refactor infrastructure configurations to establish strict multi-environment parity (Dev, Staging, Production), secure database storage, and eliminate single points of failure.
• Automated Delivery Pipelines (CI/CD): Replace manual release processes with automated, gated build and deployment pipelines to ensure zero-downtime, predictable software releases.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Modernize platform hosting by migrating core applications into auto-scaling containerized environments (Kubernetes / AWS EKS).
• DevSecOps & Observability: Implement centralized secrets management, secure network access controls, and unified monitoring with real-time alerting.

Key Requirements
Must-Have Requirements

• AWS Cloud Expertise: Solid production experience managing core AWS cloud infrastructure services (EC2, RDS PostgreSQL, VPC networking, ElastiCache, S3, IAM, and Lambda).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with Terraform for building, maintaining, and refactoring cloud environments cleanly.

• CI/CD Pipeline Automation: Proven track record building automated build and release pipelines (GitHub Actions or GitLab CI) featuring automated security checks and zero-downtime deployments.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Strong practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration (AWS EKS or ECS).
• Cloud Security & DevSecOps: Deep understanding of secrets rotation (AWS Secrets Manager), network isolation (VPC, Security Groups), and server-side IAM permissions.
• Observability & Alerting: Experience setting up system monitoring, log aggregation, and real-time incident alerting using tools like Datadog or AWS CloudWatch.

Good-to-Have Requirements

• Legacy Environment Context: Basic familiarity with Ruby on Rails / Passenger web server setups and Node.js environments to facilitate smooth migration.
• AI-Assisted Workflow Adoption: Comfort using AI productivity tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to accelerate automation scripting and documentation.
• Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or AWS Certified Solutions Architect is a strong plus.
