Senior Azure Applications and AI Platform Specialist

This is a remote position.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Applications and AI Platform Specialist to design, implement, secure, and support enterprise-grade AI solutions built on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Foundry. The ideal candidate will have strong Azure architecture expertise, hands-on experience delivering production-ready AI platforms, and a solid understanding of enterprise security, identity management, application integration, and cloud operations.

This role involves assessing existing cloud environments, implementing secure AI platform capabilities, integrating AI services with enterprise applications, and ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, governed, and supportable.

Requirements

• Assess existing Azure and AI environments, identify technical and security gaps, and recommend target architectures and implementation plans.
  

• Design, deploy, and integrate document extraction and processing solutions using Azure AI Document Intelligence and OCR to transform structured and unstructured PDF documents into structured JSON or key-value formats.
  

• Configure and manage Microsoft Foundry resources, AI projects, model deployments, AI agents, service connections, networking, identity, monitoring, and governance controls.
  

• Implement Microsoft Entra ID authentication, enterprise single sign-on (SSO), and secure authorization for downstream APIs and data sources.
  

• Integrate AI services with enterprise applications, REST APIs, databases, document repositories, and search indexes.
  

• Implement security, privacy, data governance, and responsible AI controls throughout the solution lifecycle.
  

• Validate solution quality, performance, availability, security, scalability, supportability, and cost before production deployment.
  

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployments using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
  

• Monitor and troubleshoot production applications, identity integrations, AI agents, search indexes, endpoints, latency, capacity, and service limits.
  

• Develop architecture diagrams, deployment guides, configuration records, operational runbooks, support procedures, and technical documentation.
  

• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, security, and support teams to ensure successful implementation and operational readiness.
  

• Provide knowledge transfer and coach internal teams to maintain, operate, and extend the AI platform.
  

Required Technical Skills

Microsoft Azure

• Strong knowledge of Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and cloud architecture.
  

• Experience with Azure networking, private endpoints, DNS, Key Vault, Storage, App Service, Azure Functions, and API Management.
  

• Knowledge of Azure databases, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, backup, resiliency, and cost optimization.
  

Microsoft Foundry and AI Services

• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Microsoft Foundry / Azure AI Foundry solutions.
  

• Experience with AI projects, model deployments, connections, quotas, access controls, networking, and environment separation.
  

• Knowledge of Azure AI Search, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Content Safety, and Document Intelligence.
  

• Understanding of AI agents, grounding, output validation, prompt-injection controls, and responsible AI practices.
