Senior Backend Engineer (Java / Spring Boot) | 6-Month Contract

Omise Pro is a software development company specializing in end-to-end project delivery and digital transformation. We partner with clients to design, build, and implement technology solutions that support their business goals. This role is part of our delivery organization, working directly with client teams to execute software projects successfully. You will be joining Omise Pro , Omise’s professional services team, working on custom software delivery and digital transformation projects. What you will be doing We need a strong Senior Backend Engineer to act as a technical anchor and "bar raiser." You will take full ownership of features from design to deployment, proactively eliminate technical debt, and cleanly communicate risks to stakeholders. You Core Technical Profile Backend: Expert-level Java and Spring Boot (Node.js is a plus). Architecture: Deep OOP knowledge with proof of building high-concurrency, event-driven systems (CQRS, SAGA). Databases: Expert in relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), ACID properties, and performance tuning under heavy loads. Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with at least one major platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure). Azure experience is a strong plus. Must understand pub-sub and message bus architectures. Testing: High discipline in writing robust unit and integration tests. Key "Bar Raiser" Traits Autonomy: Drives feature development end-to-end with minimal oversight.
