Infrastructure Subject Matter Expert – Tableau & SAP BusinessObjects

Brussels, Belgium- Hybrid (50% on-site / 50% remote)

Freelance Contract - November 2026 – 29 January 2027 (Likely extension)

We are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert in Infrastructure to support and enhance enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) platforms within a complex IT environment.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Tableau and SAP BusinessObjects with a solid understanding of infrastructure, platform administration, security and production support. The role will involve maintaining platform stability, resolving complex technical issues, supporting migrations and deployments, and establishing best practices to ensure the effective and secure use of BI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Tableau and SAP BusinessObjects platforms.
• Manage server configuration, user access, security and authentication, including SSO and Kerberos.
• Troubleshoot technical issues across Windows servers, networks and application configurations.
• Support platform deployments, software rollouts and migrations.
• Establish best practices, governance and technical documentation.
• Develop monitoring dashboards to track platform performance and incidents.
• Provide technical guidance and support to end users.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and business teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.

Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of development experience and 3+ years of administration experience with Tableau and SAP BusinessObjects.
• Strong knowledge of dashboard design, reporting and data visualisation.
• Good understanding of Windows administration, server infrastructure and security configuration.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Degree in Informatics, Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• Fluent English; Dutch and French are advantageous.

Experience with other BI tools, such as Cognos, QlikView or Spotfire, and previous banking experience would be beneficial.
