The Senior Bilingual Contract Specialist is an accountable business partner in mastering contractual challenges at all stages of the bid process in close cooperation with Legal Counsel, Sales, Business, Finance and Project Management.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the full RFx lifecycle process (RFI, RFQ, RFP, and tenders) from opportunity identification and intake through submission, evaluation, contract award, and execution, ensuring all deadlines and compliance requirements are met.
  • Lead the review, analysis, negotiation, and redlining of contractual terms and conditions, identifying commercial, legal, operational, and financial risks and collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop appropriate resolutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between customers and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Legal, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Business Management, to facilitate contract negotiation and execution.
  • Prepare, review, and produce quotations, proposals, and contractual documentation in both English and French.
  • Source and monitor bid opportunities through various public and private procurement platforms and communicate relevant opportunities to the business.
  • Manage the RFx response process, including coordinating inputs from internal subject matter experts, consolidating responses, and ensuring submission requirements are met.
  • Validate purchase orders and execute contract-related transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate contract documentation and records throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Support contract administration activities, including amendments, renewals, extensions, and customer correspondence.
  • Participate in and contribute to process improvement, automation, and system enhancement initiatives related to contracts and RFx management.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, governance requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external customer inquiries.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports, metrics, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Fluent in both French and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • University degree, college diploma, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in contract administration, contract management, procurement, legal support, RFx management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing, negotiating, and redlining contractual terms and conditions.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contracts and contract risk assessment.
  • Experience managing RFx processes, public tenders, and competitive bid submissions is highly desirable.
  • Experience within the healthcare industry or Siemens Healthineers (or other Siemens affiliates) is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint, CRM systems, contract lifecycle management (CLM) tools, and proposal management platforms is an asset.
  • A Paralegal License/Certificate or experience working in-house with a law firm or legal department is considered an asset.
  • Experience with contract lifecycle management, procurement, healthcare tenders, or bid management software is an asset.

The expected compensation for this position is:

$66,500 - $95,000

Factors which may affect starting compensation within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
