Senior Blockchain Solution Architect

Required Services : Senior Blockchain Solution Architect Duration: 12 months Possibility of contract extensions based on performances Location: Remote, within the CET or EST Time Zone Background information: The purpose of this engagement is to provide with a highly skilled Senior Blockchain Solution Architect Consultant. This individual will be instrumental in augmenting UNICC capacity and capabilities in developing, implementing, and managing blockchain-based solutions and projects for various UNICC clients. Required Profile: The Senior Blockchain Solution Architect is expected to possess a high level of technical expertise and experience in the field of blockchain technology and cryptography. This role is designed for a seasoned professional with a substantial background in building blockchain solutions, systems and applications and proven experience in blockchain (such as published source code, blog posts, contribution to blockchain organizations, etc.). The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of: programming languages with a preference toward C/C++, Rust, Python, or Go security concepts and secure architectures cryptography and weaknesses in cryptographic implementations architecting blockchain solutions on multiple platforms developing and deploying smart contracts on different blockchain frameworks and/or solutions Hyperledger Fabric and Indy programming smart contracts with languages such as Solidity, Vyper, Yul. The Senior Blockchain Solution Architect will work under the supervision of a tech lead. This supervision will provide strategic direction and ensure alignment with UNICC’s overall ICT strategy and government standards. Despite the supervisory structure, the role requires a high degree of autonomy and responsibility. The consultant is expected to take initiative and make informed decisions, while still adhering to the strategic objectives and operational frameworks set by the supervisory authority. Regular reporting and communication with the supervisory personnel are essential to ensure that projects are on track and aligned with organizational goals. The consultant should be prepared to present progress updates, discuss challenges, and seek guidance as needed. Scope of Work / Duties of Consultant: Under supervision of the tech lead, develop and implement of blockchain solutions, systems, and applications for UNICC projects. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify and analyze blockchain technology needs. Design and develop secure, scalable, and efficient blockchain architectures. Provide expert guidance on blockchain technology, trends, and best practices. Ensure compliance with UNICC standards related to blockchain technology. Manage the entire lifecycle of blockchain projects, from conception to deployment and maintenance. Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal staff on blockchain technology. Produce technical documentation, including system designs, implementation plans, and user guides. Required Technical Skills: The resource MUST have the following skills and experience: Expertise in Blockchain Technologies : Profound knowledge of blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, or others, and an understanding of the underlying principles of blockchain technology, including distributed ledger technology and cryptographic protocols. Smart Contract Development : Experience in developing and deploying smart contracts, particularly using languages such as Solidity, Vyper, Yul. Programming Skills : Strong proficiency in programming languages relevant to blockchain development, such as C++, JavaScript, Python, Go and Rust. Cryptography Knowledge : Understanding of cryptographic principles and security protocols that underpin blockchain technologies. System Architecture Design : Ability to design scalable and secure blockchain system architectures. Understanding of how to integrate blockchain with existing IT infrastructure. The resource SHOULD have the following skills and experience: Networking and Distributed Systems : Understanding of networking principles such as Peer-to-Peer Network (P2P) and distributed systems such as Distributed Hash Table (DHT). Project Management: Experience in managing the lifecycle of technology projects, from conception through deployment and maintenance, including requirement gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management. Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with IT standards, policies, and procedures, especially those relevant to security and data privacy in the context of blockchain technologies. Required Soft Skills: Problem-Solving Skills : Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems, often involving novel technologies and architectures. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders, convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences, and produce clear technical documentation. Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead projects, including guiding and mentoring other team members when necessary.
