Senior BPM Lead – Business Process Transformation

Location: Manchester, UK (Hybrid – approximately 2–4 days on-site every two weeks)
Contract: B2B | 12 months, with potential for extension
Start date: January 2027 (early to mid-January)
About the Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Process Management Lead to support a major business transformation programme within an international organisation operating in the energy sector.
The organisation is introducing new business systems and establishing a more structured approach to process management. This role will be instrumental in implementing Business Process Management (BPM) practices, strengthening process governance and helping business teams take ownership of their processes.
This is a hands-on leadership assignment combining change management, stakeholder engagement and BPM expertise. You will have significant autonomy and play a central role in embedding new ways of working across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of BPM practices across the UK business.
  • Establish and embed process governance, ownership frameworks and BPM standards.
  • Drive the adoption of SAP Signavio as a central platform for business process documentation and management.
  • Support newly appointed process owners in understanding their responsibilities and building effective process management capabilities.
  • Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to capture, structure and document end-to-end processes.
  • Guide business teams through the transition to new systems, processes and ways of working.
  • Coordinate process management activities across business functions, with particular emphasis on Sales and Meter-to-Cash processes.
  • Work closely with international BPM specialists and business leaders to ensure alignment with wider organisational standards.
  • Identify gaps in process documentation and establish a structured approach to process mapping.
  • Provide practical coaching and guidance to help teams independently maintain and develop their processes.
  • Monitor BPM adoption and ensure consistent application of process governance principles.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders throughout the transformation.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Business Process Management, business transformation or process governance.
  • Proven track record of leading BPM implementations or process management initiatives within complex organisations.
  • Strong practical experience with SAP Signavio, ideally including process modelling, governance and organisational adoption.
  • Experience supporting or leading business change initiatives, including engaging stakeholders and driving adoption of new ways of working.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, ideally within Sales, Customer Operations or Meter-to-Cash.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of delivery and influence stakeholders without relying on a large project team.
  • Excellent workshop facilitation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience coaching process owners and supporting business teams in developing BPM capabilities.
  • Fluent English and the ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.
  • Availability to work on-site in Manchester approximately 2–4 days per fortnight.
Highly Desirable
  • Experience within energy retail, utilities or closely related industries.
  • Strong understanding of Sales and Meter-to-Cash processes, particularly in energy retail.
  • Experience introducing BPM frameworks following major system implementations or organisational transformations.
  • Practical knowledge of alternative BPM platforms, such as ARIS, supported by relevant industry experience.
  • Experience working in distributed, international transformation programmes.
What We Offer
  • A 12-month B2B contract with potential for extension.
  • A senior, high-impact role in a large-scale business transformation.
  • A hybrid working model with approximately 2–4 days on-site in central Manchester every two weeks.
  • Significant autonomy and ownership of BPM implementation activities.
  • Collaboration with experienced international process management professionals.
  • The opportunity to shape process management practices during a critical stage of organisational change.
  • Potential opportunities to contribute to further transformation initiatives.
