We are looking for an experienced, efficient, and enthusiastic Chartered Building Surveyor (flexible on level) to join us in our Nottingham office.

We’re keen to hear from anyone looking for a unique opportunity to develop our presence across the East Midlands, working closely with our Birmingham team to take ownership on a lucrative patch to deliver a range of building surveying instructions. You will have the opportunity to pick up multiple areas of surveying as desired, across project and professional: including Dilapidation/pre-acquisition surveys, party wall, contract administration, RCA's, defect analysis, TDD, LTA's and more.

Main responsibilities:

  • Managing a healthy pipeline of multi-skilled building surveying instructions, or specialising in projects of professional if preferred

  • Taking the lead on instructions within various commercial sectors (office, retail etc). including dilapidations, TDD, LTA's, Tenant Alterations, Contract Administration and more

  • Effectively managing a strong pipeline of work and act as a key point of contact for a variety of (predominantly) blue-chip, private clients as well as some public sector

  • Actively contribute to the development of service offering, support junior surveyors/graduates and the wider team

  • Take on more business development responsibilities, source new work, cross-sell Hollis' services and network to grow your client base

  • Provide excellent client care, take ownership and manage relationships effectively

  • Acting as project lead, running the project from start to finish including invoicing, specifications, budgets and WIP

  • Collaborating with neighbouring offices across the Midlands region

Requirements:

  • MRICS building surveyor

  • Commercial real estate sector experience

  • Good understanding of project work and/or technical surveying areas such as dilapidations, TDD

  • Commercially comfortable and confident acting as a point of contact for clients and stakeholders (internal and external)

  • Confident to take ownership of work, keen to learn and contribute towards a growing team

  • Excellent communicator and ability to manage workload effectively

  • Strong report writing and communication skills
