Role Description:
We are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor – Technical Due Diligence to join our Lender, Investments and Investors team.
The role focuses on advising lenders and investors on the condition and technical risks associated with commercial property acquisitions, investments and financing. You will inspect properties, identify key building risks and liabilities, and provide clear Technical Due Diligence advice to support client decision-making.
We are looking for a Chartered Building Surveyor with strong commercial property and Technical Due Diligence experience. Previous experience supporting lenders, investors, funds or asset managers would be advantageous.
Role Accountabilities
- Deliver Technical Due Diligence (TDD) assessments across commercial property assets.
- Undertake property inspections and identify building defects, liabilities and technical risks.
- Review building condition, anticipated capital expenditure and other matters relevant to property transactions.
- Prepare clear, commercially focused TDD reports for lenders, investors and commercial property clients.
- Manage commissions from initial instruction through to inspection, reporting and client discussions.
- Work with wider property, cost and project teams where specialist input is required.
- Support and mentor junior surveyors.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree qualified and MRICS Chartered.
- Strong commercial Building Surveying experience.
- Proven Technical Due Diligence experience is essential.
- Experience within a commercial property or Building Surveying consultancy.
- Experience supporting property acquisitions, investments or lending would be advantageous.
- Strong property inspection and technical report-writing experience.
