As a Senior Business Analyst, you will take on a leadership role helping design solutions that streamline digital workflows for enterprise operations. You will work closely with customers, solution architects, and technical teams to translate complex business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and test plans. This role requires strong business analysis experience, knowledge of agile delivery, and the ability to guide stakeholders and mentor less-experienced team members. Because customers and coworkers may work remotely, the position requires effective communication by phone and web conference. The role may also create and peer-review functional, technical, training, marketing, and proposal content. This position works with the Solution Architect to confirm the solution is technically feasible, identify ways to reduce implementation effort, define detailed user stories with acceptance criteria, and support delivery within an agile or scrum framework. The Senior Business Analyst works directly with customers and coworkers and must communicate effectively by phone and web conference. In addition to supporting all phases of the project, this position may author and peer-review functional, technical, training, marketing, and proposal content.
What You Will Do
• Lead discovery sessions and translate customer business needs into clear functional requirements for technical teams.
• Guide the project team in applying industry best practices and detailed business analysis knowledge to design solutions that meet or exceed functional requirements.
• Translate application functionality into solution architecture inputs and business functionality requirements.
• Document current-state and future-state workflows, business rules, decisions, and analysis results.
• Own user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional tests in line with agile best practices.
• Lead functional testing and quality reviews to confirm business and design requirements are met.
• Contribute to test-plan development and execution and help create and deliver end-user training.
• Support Organizational Change Management by clearly explaining the future-state solution and its impact.
• Build trusted relationships with customers, stakeholders, and subject-matter experts across the organization.
• Break down complex business problems, identify root causes, and recommend practical solution options.
• Mentor junior team members and promote consistent business-analysis practices across engagements.
• Apply public-health domain knowledge, when available, to accelerate discovery and solution design for public-sector health programs.
What We Expect of You
• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience designing and developing process workflows and drafting stories. Or, 7+ years of experience designing and developing process workflows and drafting stories.
• Experience with business analysis methods, requirements documentation, and process modeling.
• Strong working knowledge of requirements gathering software support, data mining tools, business process mapping and visual diagramming, and Microsoft Office applications
• Proven ability to elicit functional and business requirements
• Demonstrated work experience in process definition including facilitation, process documentation, change control, and process improvement
• Experience in evaluating information, identifying risks and opportunities, while possessing creative problem-solving skills with an understanding of business concepts and models at all organizational maturity levels.
• History of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines
• Seeks ways to improve processes, from small tweaks to complete re-engineering. Identifies and creates processes necessary to get work done
• Familiarity with cost/benefit and ROI data analysis, core business financial concepts and how they are attached to value and risk, a plus
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile SAFe, or Scrum Master, a plus.
• Knowledge of ITIL, a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
Pay range: $87,725- $122,745 depending on experience and skill set
Annual bonus target of 10% subject to terms and conditions of plan
