Senior Business Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a modernization initiative within a public sector organization. This role will lead business analysis, requirements gathering, process documentation, and testing for a comprehensive end-to-end apprenticeship and certification management system. The ideal candidate will take ownership of validating business processes, facilitating stakeholder workshops, and ensuring the solution aligns with client needs while supporting the delivery of updated workflows and new functionality across multiple agile releases.

This position requires someone who can lead requirements development and process validation to support system implementation and data migration activities. The role encompasses designing and documenting business processes, configuring system settings, developing customized reporting, guiding data cleansing and conversion, writing and executing test cases, and supporting change management and training initiatives. This assignment will involve close collaboration with the client department and multiple branches within the organization, working under the direction of project and delivery managers to complete applicable project deliverables and ensure successful system adoption.

This position will accept remote candidates, However hybrid is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education (2+ year program) in business, computer science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• 7+ years - experience as a Business Analyst, including 3-6 years on complex, large-scale modernization projects.
• Experience soliciting, documenting and validating business requirements.
• Experience with business process transformation and change management, with strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience preparing test strategies, test plans, and test cases; executing test cases and scripts; and monitoring and controlling test plan execution.
• Recent successful projects within the last three years as a Senior Business Analyst.

Nice to Have

• Professional certifications in business analysis or related fields.
• Experience or knowledge of apprenticeship programs.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps.
• Experience with wireframing software.
• Experience using Azure DevOps for testing.
