Hightower’s capital solutions, operational support services, size and scale empower its vibrant community of independent-minded wealth advisors to grow their businesses and help their clients achieve their financial vision. Your Future Team
Hightower Advisors is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a strategic initiative to centralize, standardize, and automate manager-fee billing across its investment management and financial technology platforms.
The Senior Business Analyst will lead detailed requirements gathering, business-process analysis, and data/integration requirements definition for account-level manager-fee billing and more complex strategy/sleeve-level billing scenarios involving investment managers and third parties.
The primary objective is to establish clear, validated business and functional requirements, system dependencies, and implementation scope to enable technical solution design, effort estimation, resource planning, and delivery sequencing.
What You’ll Do
- Lead requirements discovery and working sessions with Billing, Investment Management, Accounting, Product, Technology, and external vendors.
- Document current-state and future-state business processes, workflows, business rules, exceptions, and operational requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear, structured, testable functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Define data requirements, authoritative sources, system inputs/outputs, integration handoffs, and downstream dependencies.
- Analyze manager-fee billing requirements, including fee schedules, effective dates, payer designation, fee calculations, fee initiation, changes, termination, and adjustments.
- Identify requirements gaps, assumptions, risks, and cross-functional dependencies; facilitate resolution with appropriate business and technology owners.
- Partner with Product Owners, technical teams, and vendors to evaluate solution options and support technical feasibility assessments.
- Maintain requirements documentation, decision logs, and traceability across project workstreams.
- Support technical scoping, effort estimation, resource planning, and implementation planning in partnership with Product and Technology teams.
- Validated requirements baseline: Business and functional requirements, business rules, acceptance criteria, and scope boundaries.
- Process documentation: Current/future workflows, operational responsibilities, and exception handling
- Data and integration requirements: Required data attributes, sources, system handoffs, and downstream dependencies.
- Decision and dependency tracking: Open questions, assumptions, risks, decisions, and responsible owners.
- Requirements and scoping package: Validated requirements and supporting analysis to enable technical assessment, effort estimation, resource planning, and implementation sequencing.
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting complex enterprise technology or financial systems initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to independently lead requirements gathering, business-process analysis, and cross-functional working sessions.
- Experience with billing, revenue processing, accounting, or financial systems.
- Strong understanding of system integrations, data flows, interface requirements, and data mapping.
- Experience developing functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience in wealth management, investment management, or financial services.
- Familiarity with advisory/manager fees, fee schedules, AUM-based billing, and account/sleeve-level billing.
- Experience with Redi2, Salesforce, Oracle ERP, or similar enterprise platforms.
- Familiarity with API and file-based integrations, SQL, and data analysis.
- Experience supporting financial systems transformations and Agile delivery environments.
What We Offer
