Purpose of the Role:

As a Senior Business Analyst in our Data & AI Consulting Practice, you will help clients turn complex business needs, policies and controls into practical AI-enabled capabilities. Drawing on strong business analysis and consulting experience, ideally in a regulated setting, you will work across business and technology teams to shape Generative AI and agent-based solutions that are useful, explainable and subject to appropriate human oversight.

Location: London, Hybrid. 50% in London office

Key Tasks:

  • Lead business analysis across discovery, design, delivery, testing and adoption within complex programmes and multidisciplinary product teams.
  • Elicit, prioritise and document requirements, processes, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria, linking them to measurable business outcomes.
  • Facilitate senior stakeholders and subject-matter experts to clarify objectives, challenge assumptions and define current and future ways of working.
  • Design agent-based journeys that convert complex activities into clear, testable steps, including prompts, events, measures and points of human involvement.
  • Translate policy, risk and governance expectations into delivery requirements, including safeguards, review gates, confidence limits, exceptions, escalation and fall-back arrangements.
  • Define and support assurance for fairness, explainability, bias and potential harm, including ongoing monitoring of AI behaviour.
  • Manage risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies, while supporting solution validation, service transition and benefits realisation.
  • Build trusted client relationships and contribute to the wider practice through collaboration, knowledge sharing, mentoring and proposition development.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Typically 5–7 years’ business analysis experience across complex change initiatives, covering requirements, process modelling, delivery and adoption.
  • Strong facilitation and stakeholder-management skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and communicate across business, policy, risk, data and technology audiences.
  • Experience working with product managers and multidisciplinary delivery teams to shape Data & AI use cases and translate them into clear, testable outcomes.
  • Practical experience shaping or implementing agent-based AI, including prompts, tool use, human oversight, assurance and exception handling.
  • Understanding of responsible AI and the ability to convert governance, security, privacy, ethics, fairness and risk expectations into implementable controls and requirements.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical judgement and adaptability, with an interest in evolving Generative AI, Agentic AI, data and analytics technologies.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in financial services, regulation, government or another highly governed environment.
  • Experience defining fairness, explainability, bias, impact-assessment or model-assurance requirements for AI-enabled services.
  • Background in management consulting, business architecture, service design or service transition.
  • Working knowledge of Generative AI, Microsoft Co-pilot, Microsoft Fabric and relevant cloud, data or machine learning technologies.
  • A relevant professional qualification, degree or equivalent practical experience.
