Senior Business Analyst / Functional Design Lead – HR Services & Service Delivery Platforms
Location: Remote, with occasional on-site presence

The Opportunity
Virtource is seeking an exceptional Senior Business Analyst / Functional Design Lead to support the transformation of a global HR and workforce-services platform.
This is not a traditional BA role.
We need someone who can combine:
Senior Business Analysis + HR Operations + Service Design + Platform Design + Technical Requirements + AI
You will work across HR Operations, Payroll, EOR, Product and Technology, translating complex business requirements into scalable functional and technical solutions.
What You Will Own
- Lead requirements discovery and stakeholder workshops.
- Translate complex BRDs and business needs into functional requirements, technical requirements, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Design future-state HR service workflows covering case management, employee requests, Payroll, Benefits, onboarding, routing, approvals, escalations and SLAs.
- Translate operating models into practical platform workflows, business rules, integrations and data requirements.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Product, Engineering and Testing teams.
- Maintain traceability from requirement through build, testing and release.
- Support SIT, UAT, defect resolution and release readiness.
- Challenge unclear, conflicting or unnecessarily complex requirements.
What We Need
Essential
- 8+ years' experience in senior Business Analysis, Functional Consulting or Service Design.
- Strong HR Operations / HR Shared Services / HR Service Delivery experience.
- Proven functional and technical requirements capability.
- Strong process, workflow and service-design experience.
- Experience with enterprise workflow, case-management or service-management platforms.
- Ability to work confidently with architects, engineers and product teams.
- Strong Agile delivery, testing and UAT experience.
- Experience in complex global or multi-country environments.
Highly desirable
Experience with one or more of:
ServiceNow HRSD | Workday | Salesforce Service Cloud | Global Payroll | HR Shared Services Transformation | HR Outsourcing/BPO | Managed Services | API/Integration environments
HR Service Delivery Expertise
You should understand how modern HR services operate across:
Tier 0: Self-service, knowledge, AI and automation
Tier 1: HR Service Centre
Tier 2: Payroll, Benefits and specialist HR teams
Tier 3: Expert, technology and external-provider teams
You must be able to turn this operating model into effective workflows, routing, ownership, SLAs, integrations and platform requirements.
AI-Enabled Delivery
AI is an important part of the future service-delivery model.
You should be comfortable using GenAI to accelerate:
- requirements analysis;
- process and service design;
- user-story creation;
- test scenarios;
- defect analysis; and
- large-volume information analysis.
You should also understand AI-enabled use cases such as intelligent case classification, automated routing, knowledge retrieval, case summarisation and AI-assisted HR agents.
AI development experience is not required — practical AI fluency is.
