Job Summary

The Senior Business Analyst plays a key role in preparing financial reports, forecasts, and budgets to provide accurate and actionable insights to senior leadership. This role requires strong analytical capability, strategic thinking, and the ability to present financial information in a clear and compelling way. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, comfortable operating in a fast paced environment, and able to identify financial risks and opportunities.
This position requires a proven track record of improving reporting processes, presenting to senior leaders, and mentoring junior analysts.

Essential Functions

  • Analyse financial data and build financial models for forecasting, trending, and performance analysis.
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Track KPIs and provide insights into operational and financial performance.
  • Review and interpret financial statements, budgets, and variance analyses.
  • Develop financial projections and support long range planning.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams on business initiatives, plans, and projects.
  • Understand key business drivers and communicate their financial impact.
  • Provide financial guidance to project teams and functional leaders.
  • Identify areas for cost reduction, operational improvement, and financial optimisation.
  • Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles.
  • Assist with month end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests as they arise.
  • Participate in special projects, working independently with limited oversight.
  • Recognised as an advanced individual contributor with subject matter expertise.
  • Tackle complex issues requiring deep evaluation of variable factors and creative problem solving.
  • Use extensive professional knowledge and judgement to influence processes, tools, and decision making.
  • Network across functions and adapt communication style to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Mentor less experienced analysts and provide leadership within the FP&A team.
  • Deliver highly complex work where errors could significantly impact the organisation.


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
  • Master's Degree CIMA or ACCA qualification strongly preferred
  • 7-9 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a related field. required
  • Proven experience in financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. required
  • Experience presenting financial insights to non financial audiences. required
  • Experience in fast paced, multinational or matrixed environments. required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced Excel skills (complex formulas, modelling, automation).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Oracle, Hyperion, Crystal Reports, or similar financial systems.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and strong understanding of financial governance and controls.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor peers and contribute to a high performance culture.
