Our technology is available throughout Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Denmark, as well as in several regions of Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands and Czechia – and our reach continues to grow. FAIRTIQ is growing – and you can grow with us! We are looking for a Senior Business Developer to drive FAIRTIQ’s growth across Central and Eastern Europe and the Baltic states, initially focusing on Hungary, Czechia, Slovakia, Poland and Slovenia. This is not a traditional short-cycle sales role. Public transport decisions take time, involve many stakeholders and require a deep understanding of the sector. You will combine your public transport expertise with business development , building trusted relationships, identifying where FAIRTIQ can create real value and turning promising conversations into long-term partnerships. Responsibilities Drive business development and identify new opportunities for FAIRTIQ across your markets. Build trusted relationships with public transport authorities, operators, administrations and other key decision-makers. Understand local challenges and translate them into compelling opportunities for FAIRTIQ’s solutions. Develop opportunities from first contact through complex stakeholder, procurement and decision-making processes to to contract signature and successful handover to implementation . Act as a trusted advisor to clients while representing FAIRTIQ at meetings, industry events and conferences. Collaborate with FAIRTIQ teams on market strategies, client solutions, proposals, tenders and commercial negotiations. Build FAIRTIQ’s long-term network, visibility and position within the public transport ecosystem across the region. Requirements You don’t need to come from a traditional sales background. Deep public transport experience and the ability to develop business through trusted relationships are what matter most. Extensive professional experience in the public transport sector and a strong understanding of its institutional and decision-making environment. Strong professional knowledge and experience of public transport stakeholders, structures and decision-making processes in Central or Eastern Europe . Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder processes such as public procurement, partnerships or major public-sector projects. Ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders, uncover client needs and turn opportunities into concrete outcomes. Native or C1-level proficiency in at least one Slavic language , plus C1 English or higher . Based in one of the relevant markets, or in a nearby European country from which frequent travel across these markets is practical. Experience in business development or sales, public transport ticketing, fare collection, digital mobility, tenders or commercial negotiations is a strong plus, as is an established network within the region.
