We are hiring for a growing IT services and digital engineering organization to appoint a Senior Business Development Manager for the United Kingdom market. The client delivers digital transformation, software and product engineering, AI and machine learning, data platforms and quality engineering services to mid-market and enterprise organizations. This appointment will lead their new business development activity in the UK and carry full ownership of the territory.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and growing the UK client base. This is a new business focused position requiring direct ownership of pipeline generation, opportunity qualification and deal closure. The role reports into senior leadership and operates with a high degree of autonomy.
Responsibilities
- Develop the UK pipeline through structured prospecting, account mapping, outbound engagement and network activation.
- Engage senior stakeholders including CIOs, CTOs, CDOs, Heads of Engineering, Heads of Digital and Procurement.
- Acquire and grow mid-market and enterprise accounts, managing multi stakeholder sales cycles from first contact to close.
- Partner with presales and delivery teams to shape solution led proposals and statements of work.
- Lead commercial negotiations through to contract signature.
- Maintain accurate territory planning, pipeline reporting and revenue forecasting.
Required experience
- 10 to 12 years of B2B technology services sales experience with a consistent record of achievement against new business targets.
- Established network across the UK market, covering mid-market and enterprise accounts.
- Demonstrable experience selling IT services, digital transformation, software engineering, AI and machine learning, data or quality engineering services.
- Strong consultative and solution led sales capability at C-suite level.
- Proven ability to build a territory from an early stage rather than manage an established account base.
- Experience operating within global and offshore delivery models.
Preferred Skills
- Existing relationships across Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing or Technology.
- Background within a services organization running an onshore and offshore delivery structure.
Pay range and compensation package
- Base salary negotiable depending on experience.
- Performance based incentive in addition to base salary.
- Applicants with IT & sales industry experience are strongly preferred.
- Hybrid working from London, 2 to 3 days per week on site.
- Visa sponsorship may be considered for candidates with exceptional relevant experience. Existing right to work in the United Kingdom is preferred.
