The Senior Business Rules Analyst supports the Risk team by translating credit strategy recommendations into business rules, decision logic, and system configurations. This role collaborates closely with Risk, Compliance, Scoring, and Technology teams to implement strategy and model updates, maintain documentation, support testing and change management activities, and ensure decisioning processes align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Integrating with risk and scoring team to understand and interpret strategy recommendations and accurately translating these recommendations into the scoring decision and tracking the changes to ensure expected outcomes
- Supporting model updates and strategy implementation process
- Assisting in maintaining documentation including but not limited to, Model Change History, job aids, training manuals, and resource library
- Reviewing post-implementation documentation for lessons learned and recommending changes
- Supporting scoring engine configuration and testing implementation of new products and scores, changes to existing scores and strategies and adherence to compliance and business requirements
- Developing and executing testing, implementation, and communication plans for new or modified system parameters, options, product details
- Developing and administering change control processes and procedures ensuring compliance with guidelines and best practices
- Developing and maintaining documentation required to effectively manage scoring functionality and change history
- Working with compliance to ensure documentation meets all regulatory needs
- Analyzing and reporting discrepancies to management with recommendations for resolution
- Supporting acceptance testing of new software releases
- Simulating and testing process improvements
- UAT on System Change Requests (including new features, enhancements, and bug fixes) to ensure smooth deployment, training effectiveness, and improved customer service
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3+ years lending experience lending and underwriting experience, including underwriting decision engine knowledge (DigiFi, GDS Link, Provenir, etc)
- 3+ years of experience with credit strategy and policy documentation creation and maintenance
- 1+ yr. experience in table-based or Business Rules configuration experience, Assurance or IT Support experience a plus
- Strong understanding of JSON payload structures and API-based data exchange, with the ability to define requirements, validate mappings, and troubleshoot end-to-end integrations.
- Experience onboarding and integrating third-party services (e.g., banking, fraud, underwriting, payment, or CRM platforms), including API configuration, testing, and production support.
- Advanced coding analytical skills (Python, Tableau or Sigma)
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite including expertise with Microsoft SQL, or other SQL Development Environments (Snowflake, etc.)
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail a must
- Proactive and results oriented, can tackle strategic and operational issues
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively with minimal direction and accept feedback
- Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, articulate and communicate complex results in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to understand both technical and non-technical audiences and bridge the gap in communication
- Motivated, flexible, innovative, self-directed, quick learner and team player
Base Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 USD
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based on the U.S. average. The actual base salary offered for this full-time position will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, skills, knowledge, competencies, and experience.

You will also be eligible to participate in our 401k program, starting on the first of the month following 30 days of employment with a company match.
