Senior Business Systems Analyst (FinTech)

We are partnering with an international payments technology company seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst with strong card payments experience to join their Client Delivery team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of business, technology, and customer delivery, helping financial institutions and payment providers implement and enhance card payment solutions.

The successful candidate will act as the bridge between customers, business stakeholders, and technical teams, ensuring requirements are translated into scalable and effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and discovery workshops with clients

• Perform impact assessments and analyse dependencies across systems and processes

• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications

• Analyse APIs, file specifications, and payment messaging formats including ISO 8583

• Support SIT and UAT activities and assist with production releases

• Query and analyse transaction and merchant data to identify impacts and issues

• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Operations teams

• Participate in client-facing workshops and solution discussions

• Support delivery activities across multiple projects and stakeholders

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience within the card payments industry

• Experience with card issuing, merchant acquiring, payment processing, or payment technology platforms

• Strong Business Analysis experience in customer-facing environments

• Understanding of APIs, integrations, and payment transaction flows

• Exposure to ISO 8583 or similar payment messaging standards

• SQL knowledge and ability to analyse transactional data

• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, and release activities

• Excellent English communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience working with payment processors, acquirers, issuers, or FinTech companies

• Exposure to scheme compliance (Visa, Mastercard, etc.)

• Previous experience in international client-facing environments
