- Lead complex classroom-based training sessions, workshops, seminars, and presentations for new and existing Matco franchise distributors, employees, and sales teams.
- Define, refine, and maintain training standards, lesson plans, participant playbooks, classroom materials, and facilitation approaches to ensure consistency, scalability, and alignment to business goals.
- Partner with field leadership, headquarters stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to assess training needs, identify capability gaps, and recommend enhancements to training strategy, curriculum, and delivery methods.
- Coach participants, trainers, and business partners on distributor business operations, performance expectations, and application of MBS principles to improve outcomes and profitability.
- Analyze performance data, training assessments, participant feedback, and field observations to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for program improvement.
- Lead improvement initiatives that strengthen learner experience, field readiness, and training effectiveness across multiple participant groups or business segments.
- Support the development and deployment of new training content, tools, methods, and facilitation practices that address evolving business needs and operational priorities.
- Build strong working relationships with internal partners, franchise distributors, sales teams, and headquarters functions to influence adoption of training standards and business practices.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to instructors, training leaders, and business partners on participant readiness, curriculum effectiveness, and application of best practices.
- Prepare and deliver clear reporting, insights, and recommendations on participant progress, completion status, training exceptions, and improvement opportunities for field management and headquarters stakeholders.
- Maintain a high-performing, professional classroom environment that reflects Matco Tools’ values, standards, and culture.
- Troubleshoot classroom technology and training delivery issues, applying judgment to resolve uncommon or complex situations quickly and effectively.
- Provide advanced support to distributors requiring targeted follow-up during seminars, expos, or business improvement sessions.
- Represent the training function in cross-functional discussions and contribute to decisions affecting training quality, learner performance, and business readiness.
- Work one weekend day during scheduled training classes, approximately 20 to 24 times per year, as required by the training schedule.
WHO YOU ARE (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Adult Education, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in training, facilitation, adult education, sales enablement, customer development, business operations, or learning program leadership.
- Demonstrated deep expertise in adult learning, classroom facilitation, and coaching diverse learner groups.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence, educate, and present complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into effective training strategies, materials, and participant support.
- Proven ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and lead through credibility and expertise.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and evolving training demands.
- Process improvement mindset with the ability to identify gaps, develop recommendations, and implement enhancements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to build trusted partnerships across teams and influence without direct authority.
- Ability to adapt training style, content, and delivery methods to different business needs, audiences, and learning levels.
- Ability to work one weekend day during scheduled training classes, as required by the training schedule.

- Background in automotive tools, equipment, repair shops, mobile tool sales, franchise operations, or tool distribution.
- Experience using learning management systems, virtual training platforms, classroom technology, or proprietary business software.
