Position Summary Highstreet is seeking a highly consultative, relationship-driven Senior Client Executive to serve as a trusted advisor to middle-market and large commercial clients with complex insurance and risk management needs. This role is responsible for developing and managing executive-level client relationships, leading strategic account planning, and delivering customized risk management solutions that align with each client's business objectives. The Strategic Account Executive partners with producers, risk control consultants, claims specialists, analytics teams, carrier partners, and specialty practice leaders and resources to develop innovative insurance and risk financing strategies that create measurable value. The ideal candidate combines deep technical insurance expertise with exceptional business acumen and executive presence. They understand that success is built not only through insurance placement, but by helping clients make better risk decisions that support growth, protect assets, and strengthen organizational resilience. Key Responsibilities Strategic Client Leadership: Serve as the primary strategic advisor for complex commercial clients. Develop trusted relationships with C-suite executives, CFOs, risk managers, legal counsel, boards of directors, and business owners. Lead comprehensive account planning and long-term client strategies. Facilitate executive stewardship meetings and strategic business reviews. Identify opportunities to improve clients' total cost of risk while supporting broader business objectives. Risk Management & Insurance Consulting: Evaluate complex business operations, contractual obligations, and emerging enterprise risks. Design comprehensive insurance and risk management programs addressing: Property, Casualty, Professional Liability, Management Liability, Cyber Liability, Environmental Liability, Executive Risk, Specialty Coverages. Develop creative risk financing solutions, including captives, self-insured retentions, deductible programs, alternative risk structures, and layered insurance placements. Deliver strategic recommendations that enhance operational resilience and financial performance. Market Strategy & Program Placement: Collaborate with internal brokerage specialists, carrier partners, and wholesale markets to develop innovative insurance solutions. Lead the design, marketing, negotiation, and placement of sophisticated insurance programs. Evaluate carrier capabilities, coverage enhancements, pricing alternatives, and program structures. Present strategic placement recommendations supported by market intelligence and coverage analysis. Maintain current knowledge of insurance market conditions, underwriting trends, emerging risks, and evolving client exposures. Business Development & Client Growth: Partner with producers to pursue new complex commercial opportunities and identify areas to round out existing clients. Support executive-level prospect meetings, discovery sessions, and strategic presentations. Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through additional advisory services and specialty capabilities. Contribute to client acquisition strategies across targeted industry verticals. Leadership & Collaboration: Lead multidisciplinary account teams to ensure exceptional client experiences. Coordinate internal specialists across risk control, claims advocacy, employee benefits, analytics, alternative risk, and specialty practices. Mentor Account Executives, Producers, and service team members. Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across Highstreet's national platform. Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance client service and operational excellence. Required Qualifications: 10+ years of commercial insurance brokerage or risk consulting experience serving complex commercial clients, preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Insurance, Finance, or a related discipline, preferred. Demonstrated success advising middle-market and large commercial organizations. Expertise within targeted industry verticals including Agribusiness, Construction, Healthcare, Hospitality, Non-Profit, Transportation (trucking, last mile, marine, aviation, rail, etc), Real Estate, amongst others. Extensive knowledge of commercial property, casualty, executive liability, professional liability, cyber, environmental, and specialty insurance programs. Professional Designations Preferred: CPCU, ARM, CRM, CIC, CLCS, CRIS, RPLU or other advanced industry designations, preferred. Experience designing alternative risk financing solutions, including captives, self-insured programs, large deductibles, and structured risk financing. Strong understanding of risk management principles and total cost of risk strategies. Excellent executive communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills. Active Property & Casualty insurance license.
