We’re Hiring: Client Partner (Sales – Relationship Focused)

Are you a sales professional who thrives on building meaningful, long-term relationships, not just closing transactions? Do you bring experience from the training, leadership development, or consulting space, and know how to partner with clients to drive real impact?

The Arbinger Institute Sales team is looking for an enterprise seller who excels at understanding client needs, guiding thoughtful solutions, and growing partnerships rooted in trust and value. This role is ideal for someone who sees sales as service, listens deeply, and helps organizations achieve lasting change.

If you’re energized by consultative selling, collaborative problem-solving, and working with purpose-driven clients, this is your opportunity to make a difference while growing a meaningful book of business.

Come help us build something extraordinary.

Location: Remote, must reside in one of these states for consideration (MD, PA, VA).

Job Summary

The Senior Client Partner owns a defined territory and carries a number against it. The role is equal parts hunting and farming: landing net new logos and growing the accounts already in your book. Success requires both.

In either motion, you work as a trusted partner rather than a vendor. You help organizations name the problems underneath the ones they present, connect Arbinger's solutions to the priorities their leadership cares about, and stay engaged to ensure measurable results. You will also raise Arbinger's profile across the territory through executive engagement, regional events, and collaborative work with marketing

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Business Growth: Develop and execute strategic plans to expand territory revenue through new client acquisition and existing client growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Align client goals with Arbinger’s solutions to deliver measurable impact and sustainable success.
  • Account Monitoring: Track client engagement, satisfaction, and renewal cycles to ensure proactive support and retention.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal consulting, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless client delivery and execution.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and performance data to inform decision-making and drive accountability.
  • Marketing Event Creation & Facilitation: Design and lead client-facing events, executive overviews, and other initiatives that deepen engagement and generate new opportunities.
  • Problem Resolution: Address client challenges with responsiveness, creativity, and a commitment to long-term partnership and success.
  • Perform regular self-assessments: Using Arbinger’s internal 3A+ tool to gauge and enhance individual performance impact.

Required Capabilities:

  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, clients, and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to various audiences.
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, comfortable leading executive-level discussions and client events.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, maintain, and expand trusted client relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in territory management, sales planning, and pipeline forecasting.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals through both new business development and account expansion.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; able to identify challenges and propose creative, client-focused solutions.
  • Collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across sales, consulting, marketing, and operations teams.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining alignment with organizational objectives and team strategy.
  • Demonstrated comfort with event creation and facilitation, including executive overviews, webinars, and client workshops.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism, empathy, and customer orientation.
  • Adaptability and resilience in navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
  • Alignment with Arbinger’s outward mindset philosophy, focused on collaboration, mutual success, and impact.

Preferred Capabilities:

  • Ability to analyze client data and market insights to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Experience using reporting and analytics tools to track performance, forecast revenue, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Competence in developing and executing account plans that align with strategic business goals.
  • Familiarity with project management principles, including planning, coordination, and stakeholder communication.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • 5+ Years of industry experience (preferred)
  • 5+ Years of sales experience (required)

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
  • Ability to participate in video and in-person meetings, presentations, and client events.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times (e.g., transporting materials or equipment for client meetings or events).
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25–30% of the time (or as business needs require).
  • Requires sufficient visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person, via phone, and through virtual platforms.
