Rexel. Electrifying solutions that make a sustainable future possible.
Rexel is a global expert in the multichannel distribution of electrical products and services for the energy sector, serving three main markets: residential, commercial and industrial.
Driven by passion, our people help deliver innovative electrification solutions in the field and make the energy transition possible. We believe in bringing positive energy to everything we do!
Join our dynamic teams and be part of this extraordinary journey! Working at Rexel offers an exciting and dynamic environment where you can make a tangible difference, work on innovative projects, collaborate with diverse teams, and grow both professionally and personally.
Background
Rexel has set ambitious climate commitments, which are implemented operationally by each country within the Group. Environmental data is at the heart of our transition. That is why the Group is developing practical solutions to support local organizations, including Carbon Tracker, Eco-score and carbon quotations.
Success in this role will therefore depend on the candidate’s ability to engage country teams and use data as a driver for action. This is particularly important in steering global and local decarbonization pathways and supporting our external and internal customers in their own decarbonization efforts.
Purpose of the Role
Bring our climate strategy to life on the ground by engaging countries in a shared effort and turning our sustainable solutions into a genuine source of value for both our customers and our sales teams.
Key Responsibilities (non-exhaustive)
- Contribute to the development and structuring of the Group’s climate strategy, working closely with the Group Sustainable Solutions Manager. Support the definition of carbon targets tailored to each country’s scope and, more broadly, help strengthen and embed an environmental and climate-conscious culture throughout the organization.
- Drive the implementation of country-level roadmaps: develop, monitor and support the implementation of roadmaps, engaging roadmap owners in a collaborative, hands-on approach. Track results and measure levels of engagement.
- Actively support the rollout and adoption of our sustainable solutions across all countries within the Group, including Carbon Tracker, in collaboration with Data, Data Science and Product teams. Contribute to the continuous improvement of these solutions based on feedback from local teams.
- Analyze decarbonization performance and product offerings to inform both our internal decision-making and our end customers’ efforts to reduce their environmental impact.
- Embed sustainability into our commercial offerings: develop the tools and governance frameworks that enable our field teams to readily adopt our sustainable solutions and leverage them as a competitive advantage in customer relationships. This includes awareness-raising kits, sales pitch materials and support for sales teams.
This list of responsibilities is not exhaustive and may evolve in line with the Group’s climate strategy.
Technical Skills
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to work with large volumes of information and proficiency in data visualization tools.
- Good understanding of decarbonization challenges and the levers available to reduce environmental impact in an industrial or B2B distribution environment.
- Knowledge of and an interest in carbon accounting methodologies, including carbon footprint assessments and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), would be an advantage.
- Fluency in English is essential for working in an international environment.
Personal Attributes and Interpersonal Skills
- Proven experience in cross-functional program management, ideally in international or multi-site environments.
- Ability to bring together a wide range of stakeholders around a common goal through persuasive communication and strong relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to adapt to different local contexts.
- Ability to develop clear business cases and communicate the purpose and value of initiatives, both internally and in a commercial context.
- Strong analytical skills combined with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Persistence and patience when driving transformation initiatives that take time to become firmly established.
Candidate Profile
- Master’s degree (or equivalent, Bac+5) in engineering, business, environmental studies or a related field.
- 7 to 10 years of professional experience, ideally in cross-functional program management and change management within an international or multi-entity organization.
- Solid understanding of decarbonization principles and corporate climate challenges.
- Experience in ESG or sustainable solutions would be a strong asset.
- Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with digital tools.
