***This is a work from home position that can be worked remotely from anywhere in the United States*** The Senior Clinical Database Programmer is responsible for the development, validation, deployment and maintenance of database builds in support of clinical studies. Responsibilities Develop, program, validate and maintain EDC clinical trial databases in accordance with study protocols and/or source documentation Generate and maintain all required documentation related to programming activities; ensure quality of the programming and adherence to company standards May program and test SAS reports to support data review efforts and identify possible data inconsistencies Assist with management of external application vendor responsibilities, integrations, and implementations Proactively monitor scope of work to actual work, alerting management of potential change orders or resourcing needs Actively participate in database-related user groups and pursue ongoing training in Advanced Clinical EDC platforms Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Strong understanding of departmental and company procedures; ability to guide others on procedures Minimum of 3 years direct clinical database programming experience in pharmaceutical development or CRO environment Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Work experience may be substituted for degree Experience with Medidata Rave Working knowledge of relational database development and CDASH standards Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail are required Role Competencies Demonstrates basic skills and knowledge relevant to the function.
