Job Description Summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Cloud & Web Software Engineer to help design, develop, and modernize innovative software products across cloud, web, and connected system environments. In this role, you will help drive the evolution of existing products from traditional client-based and scripting solutions into modern, scalable, cloud-native applications, primarily in Azure, while maintaining the reliability, performance, and quality our customers expect.

This is a full-stack technical leadership role requiring expertise across backend services, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and modern web applications. You will play a key role in defining technical direction, architecting scalable solutions, and delivering connected, data-driven systems that support real-time insights, remote monitoring, and improved customer outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical leader and self-starter who can work independently, navigate ambiguity, and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, program managers, architects, and cross-functional engineering teams. This role offers significant ownership and requires sound technical judgment, a product mindset, and a passion for building modern software solutions that create business value.

  • Lead technical evaluations and decisions with consideration for performance, scalability, maintainability, security, and cost optimization
  • Support the transformation of products into connected, intelligent systems with modern user experiences

Mentorship & Engineering Excellence

  • Serve as a technical mentor for other engineers across cloud and web domains
  • Promote best practices in coding standards, design reviews, testing strategies, and software architecture
  • Help teams navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions in fast-moving development environments
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, technical curiosity, and engineering rigor
  • Share knowledge and help strengthen team capability across modern software disciplines
