Job Description
Position: Senior Commercial Insights & Analytics Manager
Location: Europe – Krakow, Poland preferred. Candidates based elsewhere in Europe, including the UK and Spain, will also be considered.
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)
Contract: Permanent, full-time
About the Company
We are an established international consumer goods company with a portfolio of well-known personal care brands, sold across North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia-Pacific. It is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial business where the analytics team works close to the commercial teams and sees the direct impact of its work.
The Role
This is a global role, supporting markets across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific from a European base. You will be the analytical business partner to General Managers and senior commercial leaders, as well as Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Finance teams.
This is not a corporate head-office reporting role. We are looking for a hands-on operator – someone who understands how a consumer goods business really runs at market level, can get into the detail of sell-in, sell-out, channel and customer data, and can turn it into clear, practical recommendations that senior leaders act on.
You will also provide direct analytical support to markets that do not have their own dedicated analytics resource.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Insights & Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted analytical partner to Regional Managers and senior commercial stakeholders across regions.
- Turn market, customer and sales data into clear insights and recommendations that shape commercial decisions.
- Analyse sell-out and market data from external providers (e.g. NielsenIQ, Circana, IQVIA) and retailer/customer sources.
- Identify consumer, customer, channel and competitive trends affecting performance in each market.
- Present findings with confidence, explain the reasoning behind them, and handle challenges from senior stakeholders.
Sales Reporting & Performance Analytics
- Deliver regular sales reports, dashboards and business performance analyses.
- Develop and maintain Sell-In vs. Sell-Out (SISO) reporting.
- Track customer, channel and distributor performance against business objectives.
- Monitor key KPIs and flag opportunities, risks and trends early.
- Develop and maintain reporting tools that support both strategic and day-to-day decision-making.
Forecasting & Supply Coordination
- Own and coordinate the demand forecasting process, consolidating inputs from country teams.
- Communicate forecasts to Supply Chain and Management, and report on forecast value and volume performance.
- Partner with Supply Chain on forecast accuracy, inventory planning and stock availability.
- Take part in monthly demand and supply review meetings.
- Monitor and analyse forecast accuracy, excess inventory, low-stock situations, lead times, back orders and significant forecast changes.
E-Commerce & D2C Analytics
- Lead the development of e-commerce reporting and dashboards.
- Support local e-commerce teams with performance reporting, ad hoc analysis and recommendations.
- Conduct Amazon financial performance analysis and share insights with Commercial and Finance teams.
- Support Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) projects, including business cases, system integrations and performance reporting.
Commercial Systems & Process Support
- Manage and maintain pricing structures, trade agreements and discount agreements within the ERP system.
- Support trade allowance management and prioritisation of low-stock items based on customer and commercial impact.
- Contribute to ERP system enhancements and continuous improvement projects.
- Support effective collaboration between Sales, Customer Service and Supply Chain.
About You
Experience
- 8+ years' experience in FMCG, CPG or consumer health, ideally combining time in business-facing roles (sales, marketing or commercial) with a move into commercial analytics, sales operations, demand planning or commercial finance.
- Manager-level experience partnering directly with General Managers, Sales Directors and Marketing Directors.
- Strong hands-on experience with market and retailer data such as NielsenIQ, Circana, IQVIA or retailer POS data.
- Proven ability to analyse sales channels, customer performance and sell-in/sell-out at market level.
- Experience with forecasting, demand planning and performance management.
- Experience working with distributors and indirect sales models.
Technical Skills
- Power BI – dashboard development and data visualisation.
- Advanced Excel.
- Experience navigating an ERP system – Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP or similar.
- Comfortable working with large, complex data sets and pulling a clear story from them.
Desirable
- Experience in personal care or consumer health.
- Amazon, e-commerce and D2C experience.
- Experience supporting multiple markets or regions.
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Statistics, Supply Chain or a related field.
Personal Attributes
- Strong commercial curiosity – you want to understand why the numbers look the way they do and what the business should do next.
- Confident and credible with senior stakeholders – hands-on, yet diplomatic in how you present your case.
- Able to hold your own under pushback and work well with tight deadlines and changing priorities.
- Clear communicator who can translate data into a simple, compelling story.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
What's on Offer
- A global role with real visibility and influence across international markets.
- Close partnership with senior commercial leadership.
- Competitive salary and annual bonus.
- Hybrid working.
